That's fair, however prospects are never guaranteed. Also, Mike Trout doesn't stick around for the guy coming up in the system, he stays if were competing and doing what it takes to win.

When did I say 2nd baseman? I'm talking generalities. Guys who can hit 30+ homeruns don't come around every day. Then to find one at a position of need and isn't 35+ years old...those are the guys you give big contracts to. What is the difference in getting 3 guys who make 5 million but can't play for shit vs 1 guy who makes 15 that can contribute? Give me the guy who can get it done 100 times out of 100. Sure if you want to allocate your money to different positions that's one thing but don't shop at the 99 cent store hoping to get your Gucci bag.

Let's not kid ourselves ... if Moustakas signs with the Angels, he'll be a bust. If he signs anywhere else, he'll hit 40+ home runs with Gold Glove defense.

He's part of the equation at both 1st and 3rd. If you don't like him at first base why would you like him at third?

Why wouldn't you want the upgrade at 3rd?

My god do we have some penny pinchers in here. Do you guys have a problem with bringing in a guy who helps us win games? Or a 2nd round pick who may or may not turn out, with a ceiling as high as the guy we are trying to get... (most likely)

A left handed power hitting 3rd baseman in the prime of his career...all things the Angels need. You're telling me that hitting in front of or behind Trout and Upton that this guy wouldn't improve his OBP? Moustakas is kind of a no brainer especially if he's willing to take any form of a discount to be here. By that I mean not asking 20+ million. If we can get him for 15-18 a year I think you have to do this deal.
