See what they have with the current 5 starters this season, then do whatever it takes to sign Burnes next off-season.  There’s absolutely nothing to not like there.   Durability, averaging 6 innings/start since 2021, low WHIP, high Ks/BBs ratio, grew up a Halos fan

Baseball needs a signing period. Starts 7 days after the Workd Series and ends the day pitchers and catchers report. Any contract after that can only be a 1 year deal with a modest cap to the amount.

if you sign snell this year, then next year you can go to burnes and show him you're committed to winning, and by having both him and snell at the top of the rotation, they'll be a formidable 1-2 punch. 
at least that's how i'd do it.
if it costs me one draft pick but i get both of those pitchers, i'm all in.

Regarding Snellgomery, I’d rather wait a year for a pitcher who checks all the boxes including Halos fan growing up:  Burnes.
Durable, 6 innings/start since 2021, excellent WHIP and Ks/BBs ratio, RHP, proven ace, only 30 in 2025, and Halos fan growing up 
Closest thing to Cole, who was a Yankees fan growing up

I think it’s a joke based on the thought Arte would rage spend on Snellinger after losing Shohei. 

Spring Training Jo Adell is the best player ever 

It's nothing new, it is a meaningless ST game, but it's always so easy to see why scouts fawn on Adell.  The amount of bat speed he showed on that triple was nuts, dude waited on that pitch forever and still was able to get the bat around enough to pull it to the gap.
Whenever it clicks for him, if it clicks for him, he's going to be fun to watch. Dude seems to feed on his own good performance too.

One thing Boras needs to understand is that other than Martinez (age 36), none of his other clients has been a model of consistency over the past several years.
Snell: two Cy Young’s sandwiched around a bunch of seasons where averaging just 5 innings/start and never exceeding 130 innings mainly due to averaging just 24 starts a season in those other 4 full seasons 
Montgomery: until this past season, just a solid and not great pitcher
Bellinger: two bad seasons preceding a really good 2023
Chapman: mediocre hitting May 2023 through September 2023, plus sub .750 OPS the past 3 years and fielding declining some

If there was ever a season where the Angels would have 2-3 breakouts from their young guys, it would be this season. 
Hoping it happens for Adell and a couple others. If it does, theres a damn good chance the Angels are playing meaningful baseball in Sept/Oct. 

He said he wasn't going to add to payroll unless the player would substantially make the team better. 
Honestly I think Montgomery and JD Martinez would do that, but that's just me.

I am mystified that they haven’t at least signed some one year deals with decent enough players in the meantime, since the Bally’s issue doesn’t impact 2024.
They are still some $65-70 million under the 2024 tax threshold.

You have to think a lot of teams viewed him as a 4th or 5th starter. 

I've heard/read that Imanaga is an extreme fly ball  pitcher... good luck Chicago.
