Mike Trout .316/.452/.694/1.146 - 19HR - 37RBI - MVP
Too bad Trout can't hit every inning.

Trout is the most interesting man in the world! lol
And the best player.

He was showing signs of being like Steve Carlton though.
The very rare DL stints, maintaining his pitching through the entire season
The other thing being his drawing power
Anyone that lived through Ryan's Angel career knows how many fans he drew to the park. When Ryan first came to the Angels the attendance was horrible on days that he didn't pitch but it was a different story when he did pitch.
Bavasi was an idiot..letting Ryan leave is one of the biggest blunders in ML history.

Glancing at this thread makes it seem like Ohtani has been awful.
I like awful Ohtani.
Hammer hits nail on the head!

No bias here. Ohtani has thrown mostly nothing but strikes on 0-2 and 1-2 counts. That's called "pitching to contact". And luckily, the contact they made didn't end up being hits despite mostly being hit in the air.
Ohtani is the last pitcher one would want to pitch to contact
Sorry but I'm not buying your analysis.
I think you're being hyper-critical.
YMMV

Here comes the rain.

No, this is on Maldonado. Ohtani is throwing hittable strikes on 0-2 and 1-2 counts. Ohtani needs to shrug him off before his ERA skyrockets. He needs to pitch for the strikeout and not to contact.
Ohtani only needs to do what he has been doing..which is just fine for most.

Good one!

Are we sure Ohtani is from Japan? I think he might be from another planet.
Is there a Smallville Japan?
