That series showed why a team never trades a true star like Mike Trout in the prime of his career. Even if we think it would make the all around club better, it will never happen. He gives the fans/organization something to be proud of when we play a team like the Dodgers. The Dodgers can take all their position prospects and shove em up their ass because all of them combined aren't as valuable as Trout. It's fun to watch!

Solid game all around, aside from Chacin looking more like Chachi and nothing like he looked in Seattle
Bullpen retires 14 of 15 batters, Trout is Trout, Gia continues to heat up, heck even Perez hit one out, etc.

Yup. The guy is garbage against sliders down and away and fastballs inside. Pitching him fastballs that he can punch to right field is just stupid, considering it's the only pitch he has much success against

We won 3 of 4 and won't have to pitch to Howie again, and we will not see Kershaw again this season so all and all, we kicked ass against the the Dodgers this year.

I know both Chacin and Perez are new to the organization. Nagy as well. But for fucks sake anytime Howie Kendrick gets not one but two outer half fastballs in the same at bat the pitcher, catcher, and pitching coach should all be fined a game check.

you say you want to have a "conversation" but I call bullshit. you sure sound like you've already made up your mind and this post is just an opportunity for you to try and shame the "failos", or basically anyone you feel doesn't measure up to you as a fan.
and for the record, i personally follow every game and try to watch when and where I can, though I would say given the state of the org they've slipped down my list of priorities to an extent. I wouldn't say that there's no hope this year, though I would say realistically the team doesn't have a great chance, and I don't see a lot to feel good about the next few years. However, the great thing about sports is that things can change quickly, which is why I'll continue to follow the team.
But feel free to look down on the rest of us from your soapbox, superfan.

The guys just quality. Not hitting for as much power but has a .386 OBP so far this year while playing solid defense. I'd keep him and Escobar in front of Trout the entire year. With the amount of busts we've had from our minor league system and the lack of position player talent coming through the system lately, it's been a breath of fresh air to see how consistently solid this guy is

    Plus he's a Sun Devil!

Which Guerra was worse, Deonis or Javy?    Granted, that's like asking which is better tasting: 3 month old hamburger or 3 month old chicken.

He's got a legit argument for best pitcher in franchise history, and this team is going no where this year, so releasing him mid-season would be pointless. Let him finish the contract both parties agreed to then walk away. Hopefully he just admits he's done and retires an Angel. No way do you pay him to be on the team next year though. This is a business, and every nickel needs to go towards players who are going to help us win (especially when we've got 50 million dollars of dead weight tied up in Pujols/Hamilton next year too)
