Spencer got a reaction from Stradling in And you thought the heat here was bad...
I was privileged enough to visit the eastern shore of the Salton Sea today.
115 out, and I had to trek around a huge lot littered with broken glass and barbed wire.
You know it's hot when your phone overheats just sitting in your hand.

Spencer got a reaction from ELEVEN in Field of Dreams getting updated?!
It's a great movie, like most Costner baseball flicks.
But I just don't see the attraction of travelling all the way to BFE Iowa to look at a baseball diamond in the middle of a corn field.

Spencer reacted to stormngt in Its a well known fact, young players that leave Angels org. thrive elsewhere
Let's see:
Dallas MacPhearson: did not do better when leaving the Angels
Casey Kotchman: Did not do better
Brandon Wood: enough said
Sean Rodriguez: enough said
Napoli: did well for the Angels and is doing well after.
Rodney: was not a young player and did do better for the Rays. However, he is back to sucking this year.
I guess you can say O'Day, however, O'Day pitched well for the Angels. It was a huge mistake losing him!
Waldan: Walden was an All Star as a Rookie, so please don't say he is doing better for the Angels.
Now, how about the young Angels the coaches are currently screwing up!
Trout, Bourjos, Trumbo.....yes, the front office is really screwing those guys up. Trout would be the greatest player ever if he wasn't on the Angels. Bourjos and Trumbo would both be in the Hall of Fame.
Can we now conclude that the original post was one of the most illogical post of all time?

Spencer got a reaction from HaloSkinsFan in Angels Announce Summer Concert Series Presented by Budweiser
I've heard that Queen Nation is pretty awesome.
I'd rather watch a solid tribute band playing songs that I recognize and like, than sit through the likes of Ne-Yo, Taio Cruz, or watch some other talentless dickhead make a bunch of noise.

Spencer got a reaction from Angel Dog and Beer in OC brewery/restaurant/things to do recommendations
The Anaheim Brewery is really close by, at Broadway and Anaheim Blvd.
They have a Kolsch on tap right now which is uber-refreshing, in addition to the additional half-dozen beers that they make.
Umami Burger is right next door. Gourmet burgers and such, with beers on tap.
You could then take a stroll around the downtown Anaheim/Platinum Triangle area.
In fact, there's a cool barber shop there called Barbeer, if you feel the urge for a straight shave and a pint.

Spencer reacted to Spencer in DSLR Cameras
My budget for a body and lens is around $800-1000, or more or less or whatever it takes to get a good package that I will be happy with for a long time.
LT: you're talking about 'speed' and looking at faster lenses. Are you referring to focus speed? The larger the aperture, the more light you can let in, hence the better you do in low light? So everything else being equal between two lenses, f2.8>f4.0 because I will very likely be shooting in low light situations?
I've looked at the 60D a bit, but not the 7D.
I think I will stay away from full frame cameras. Yes they are supposed to be 'better' in many ways, but they are also much larger and heavier, and I'm not experienced enough to take advantage of their improved capabilities.
The 60D felt heavy to me, as compared with the t4i and especially the SL1.
It uses the same sensor, same processor, and shares alot of the same features as the Rebels. Anyone care to explain where it significantly excels?
Here's a question: what features or specs will allow me to shoot in low light, and to shoot quickly such as to capture a moving object or sports game?
