Oh I get it -- I just dont want to see another guy pushed into something and then being worse off for it.

Call me a hater, but there's a part of me that is enjoying seeing their refusal to add IF help or sign an OFer come back to bite them in the ass.  I wasn't in the "sign the big guys" camp, but I wanted them to make sensible offers to people who weren't absolute trash. There was nothing, absolutely nothing that would have kept them from playing the young guys AND making an attempt at safeguarding themselves by signing capable players.

People can say that it takes two to tango and the sort, but there's enough info out there to know who the Angels did and didn't make offers on.

I mean, seriously fuck this shit if Pillar is the move

I have a bad feeling whoever said Willie Calhoun will be right. Not sure Adams would be much better though. All I see there is defense and SBs.

Good chance for Adell and Moniak to get basically everyday playing time now though, which I am hopeful for.

Yeah, I'd prefer to see Adell and Moniak pretty much every day, as well.  I don't want Calhoun anywhere near the field--which, of course, means it probably will be him.

How does a MLB player with that much service time get sent down?  How is that even possible?  I'm guessing he went voluntarily?  Strange.

The tweet says "both sides decided," so, yes, he went voluntarily.  After five years of MLB service time, a player has the right to refuse an option/assignment, so in this case, he obviously sees some value in doing it to help him get back on track.
