Trump got Rocket Boy to quit launching test missiles over Japan. It deescalated a lot of tension in the area and got our generals to back down on retaliatory action or first strike. One of the few things Trump did well and that was not to create a new war or accelerate the flames on one that had been reduced to embers.

Redondo's article was about NK starting up their nuclear program again (the word "again" isn't accurate because it is something they never stopped doing under Trump and continue to do so under Biden). The aren't launching missiles right now though? So what is there to do? Trump didn't stop them so why should Biden?

To be honest, I agree with Tank that Biden could talk with Kim. Maybe even strike a deal but what is the point? In this highly partisan country, it will be just be slammed and criticized. And then revoked under the next president. Tensions will increase. People will say that NK was never abiding by the deal (and they would probably be right knowing Kim's character).

Oh and Redondo,we can still talk about Trump because not doing so isn't providing a full context of history and if there is one thing I know, we don't want to appear as if we are erasing history.

Voting started so early that most people didn't realize Biden is demented until it was too late.

I don't remember it that way Jay but I could be wrong. I thought people were questioning his gaffes and mental capabilities long before the election, mainly during the primaries and when it was apparent he was going to be the nominee.

  3. When I saw libs on social media say the world was laughing at us because of Trump, cons said they didn't care what the rest of the world thought. But now they say the rest of the world is laughing at us because of Biden.

Which is it, do we care or not?

  4. Robert E Lee was a decent general and the war wouldn't have lasted as long as it did without him but he was a bit overrated. He was too aggressive for his own good (needlessly lost a lot of men he couldn't replace). He definitely gave Grant trouble in 1864-65 though.

He faced some terrible Union generals who helped him look pretty good. Sort of like a soft tossing lefty facing the Angels.

They need to stop that shit too

At this point, I don't think they ever will be fiscally conservative again, except in talking points. My hopes of a balanced budget or surplus just aren't going to happen.

So that leaves two choices it seems. Tax and spend or borrow and spend. I don't like taxes but with the overall debt being a main concern of mine, anything to stop it from growing even more would be preferred.

    I feel gross posting that.

I'm vaccinated, just for the record. Just thought it was an interesting question.

To coerce someone is to persuade them to do something by using force or threats. I would say that unless you get the vaccine you'll have a swab stuck up your nose once a week until the end of time is a threat, and absolute lunacy.

And I agree which is why I wasn't a big fan of his mandate and felt like he should have thrown in a few more option besides just those two (three if you count quitting your job which is an option but I know it is an extreme one).

So many leftists push the idea that mean words can be literal violence. So what does coerced injection of foreign substances into your body constitute? That doesn't clear the bar for "literal violence?"

@Taylor? I feel like this is something you could answer.

Or they can just get tested weekly if it’s in the private sector if they choose to not to get vaccinated.

  8. He’s giving private businesses two options. Get vaccinated or get tested weekly. He should have added a third option of antibody testing as well if he was going to impose mandates.

But if he’s not doing the same thing for USPS and illegal immigrants, then it is idiotic. I haven’t dived into this but is he at least requiring for the latter two groups to at least be tested weekly at a minimum? If not, again pretty fucking dumb. But then again his border policy is terrible.

My work has had an outbreak and the nurse says the majority of our positives are vaccinated. The vaccine may save you from dying but it isn’t slowing the spread. My argument is Biden don’t give a rats ass about dying trumpers so what’s the real motive?

My question was about getting tested weekly as an alternative and people's thoughts on that. Focus.

  10. While I don't agree with the private business mandate portion (I'm okay with fed workers mandate since I think that falls under Biden's authority), it does offer the alternative of getting tested weekly as opposed to getting the shot. I think that part is getting overlooked a bit. Thoughts on that? Is that over stepping as well?

Anybody watched the Netflix doc yet? Alberto Gonzales seems like one of the slimiest dudes ever.

Just finished episode 4 last night. Super depressed after watching it just knowing how poorly it was going in 2004 and again 2009 (the parts they talked about) and knowing we were still going to be there another decade. They knew back then they didn't have a plan or a strategy.
