We've been saying "Write off Trout" for part of each of the last four years. I think it is time to come to terms with the fact that we should probably write him off for the rest of his contract, at least as far as being an everyday elite player. He's probably good for 2-5 WAR per season from here on out - meaning, we'll be lucky to get 4-5 WAR out of him in any season.
 

This has the feel of that excruciating 1-0 loss to Seattle back in April, 2002 to run our record to 6-14. The difference being there's not a chance in a million that we'll go on a tear now and win 21 of our next 24 games.
We might lose 21 of 24...easily.

It’s effing beautiful in Seattle today!!

The Angels season (for me) in a few dates:
April 8 (High Point): Angels are 6-4, Trout tearing the cover off the ball (.297/.381/.757). He's back! This team might be better than we thought.
April 17 (Last Moment of Hope): Angels are 9-9, Trout cooling off a bit, but still playing well. Now if the young guys can get going, we might have a chance.
April 29 (Disaster): Angels lost 9 of 10 to go from 9-9 to 10-18 before winning a game in which Trout is hurt. Here we go again.
May 31 (The Angels, who?): After starting 9-9, and assuming a loss tonight, the Angels have gone 12-27, which is a 112-loss pace. This team really sucks. Here comes our first 100-loss season!

Was it just me or did Pillar blow two catches in right field in the first inning that Adell would've caught easily?  Plus the game ending baserunning error...

Getting picked off/thrown out to end the game is a perfect ending for this team. Embarrassing. 

I canceled my mlb.tv subscription in April this year. Third year in a row I canceled early, but this year was the earliest exit for me. I follow scoring updates on Twitter usually, but it's like viewing an eclipse...pinhole thru a piece of carboard. I hate that I still care as much tbh.

What makes this worse is that it gives Blum something to write about.

He’s terrible. Time to move on from him. Hopefully he’ll reel off 4-5 good starts before the deadline so we can net a single A prospect. Hopefully not another head case either. 

Sandoval gave up 10 baserunners in 3 2/3 innings. 3 HR, hit a guy, threw a wild pitch, and had a pitch timer violation. Too bad he didn't balk or make an error, just to fill the scorecard a bit more. 
I'm genuinely curious what kind of offers they'd get for him if they tried to trade him. 

He's 13-20 on the road, so he's not exactly Cy Young there, either.  He's just not a winner, period.

It's hard to imagine us winning 1 game out of those 2 series. Looks like a scheduled bloodletting.

Honestly, this season has been worse than the 90's. You at least always had some horses in the rotation (Finley, Abbott, Langston, Witt) early on, Percy closing and some damn good performers on the field in Salmon, GA, Edmonds, Erstad, Snow etc.

You realize that the Rangers and Astros are thinking they're the fortunate ones in these scenarios, right?
