  1. AD finally returned last night. Now, lets see if we can finally establish a defensive identity. I'd suggest running a WB/Monk/Johnson/Lebron/AD lineup for a bit and see how that looks.
  2. You cannot lose a punt inside your own 20. You cannot go for it on 4th inside your own 20. The PI on Kenneth Murray in the 2nd quarter may have been the most atrocious coverage I've ever seen. You cannot give up a first down on a draw play when it's 3rd and 23. You cannot give up 35 and hope to win, and you cannot give up the 3rd most points on the year and expect to be successful or playoff bound. Gotta get some run stuffers along that D-line, another pass rusher to help Bosa, and a consistent RT, maybe a burner WR to take advantage of Herbie's rocket arm and stretch the field.
  3. Raiders v Chargers for the final AFC playoff spot. Looking forward to Sunday! Hope Covid doesn't screw it up.
  4. Paid $3.52 yesterday. Southern Washington, 10 minutes north of the Oregon/Washington border.
  5. I have zero idea. I didn't have the strength to ask follow ups re: this dumb-shit. Strother Martin said it best from Cool Hand Luke: "Some men (or women in this case) you...just..can't...reach!"
  6. My wife was working with some dumb-shit the other day and this subject came up. The dumb-shit said this is another example of why police shouldn't chase suspects.
  7. In regards to this thought experiment, this ^^^^^
  8. It might be easier to assume this is a .500 team for the first 50 games while they get players healthy (THT, Ariza, Nunn, LeBron?) and figure out how to play together. I checked in last night and saw that they had Rondo, Melo and Monk all on the floor together. You couldn't add the 2 best defenders in history to that lineup and come out positive.
  9. Watched 2 movies recently, both suspense/thriller types: "Run" - Mother/daughter coming of age movie. Lou will love it. Actually, deranged mom (Sarah Paulsen) movie. Give it a 6+. "Fractured" - Family road movie starring Sam Worthington. Also, give it a 6+. Also, started Season 1 of Blacklist last night with the family. Episode 1 was strong. Wife and I had watched a few seasons a while back and liked it, fell off track. Starting over and watching with the 11/13 year olds.
  10. It's odd how someone like AD, who for 3 years running was hitting roughly a third of his 3's, can't hit shit. It also boggles my mind that someone who has played basketball for 20 years + can't eventually develop a serviceable jumper (f'in Bruins).
  11. Might need to put a shock collar on Westbrook to dissuade him from stupid shots or early in the shot-clock shots that are stupid. Vogel, once he has a few more healthy players available, needs to have guys earn minutes with their defensive effort and intensity.
  12. Definitely excited, and I love that some of the most important positions on the team are taken care of currently. We have a solid QB, LT, C, RB, WRs (though Mike Williams would need to sign an extension), corners, and one DE. We can now start adding compliments and depth in the upcoming drafts, like RT, a passrusher opposite Bosa, a friggin' kicker, etc.
  13. Whew, what a stinker. They couldn't get anything going. Ravens executed a great game-plan, well played.
  14. Might actually pay attention to this one tonight. If the Dodgers win, I'll have never been a larger Atlanta Brave's fan in my entire life.
  15. Browns went ultra-conservative on the 3 and out that led to the Chargers final score and it cost them. Man, I am loving Brandon Staley. He's the coach I hate to play. How many times has he gone for it on 4th down? At least 4 times yesterday, and once early in the 3rd down 2 scores from his own 25. That scares the shit out of me when I'm facing that guy. He is building a ton of confidence in these guys that they can succeed at any point on the field, any point in the game. Saw a stat this morning stating NFL teams had been 401-0 when scoring 40+ with zero turnovers. Make that 401-1.
  16. I've heard of this type of thing, but in 40 years of watching football I've never seen it. Bizarre.
  17. Watched the SF/LA game today at work. Whew, Logan Webb knows how to pitch. He has a ton of movement and deception. He is what you get when a pitcher learns how to throw any pitch at any time. And health, always health. Me wants it.
  18. I'd be surprised if they signed anyone and add to the payroll/luxury tax. Not like he was planning to play super huge minutes.
  19. He's young and far from perfect. But love the fight and recovery on this play.
  20. Recent Chargers teams would've probably blown that game last night against the Raiders. Nice to see what seems to be team evolution/growth in that category.
  21. Nice to win one on the road in maybe THE toughest road environment.
