  1. Boy, that was a heavyweight title fight last night. Great game! KC stepped up and played better in the 2nd half than the Bolts, with the HUGE pickoff and return. At least a 10 pt swing right there. Herb took some hits late, clearly he was in major pain as the dude couldn't even run for that first down late. Amazed he was able to sling it at all, and that throw late to Deandre to the 5 was a thing of beauty, especially considering his condition. With the pregame show and all, felt like a playoff game.
  2. Back to back stellar Thursday night games to begin the season. Chargers at Chiefs should be super duper!
  3. I've had my S21 + for about 14 months. Yesterday, without provocation, the screen went completely black. The phone is still on because I've got it on vibrate mode and the thing is still humming. But I can't access anything. I've consulted the interwebs and have tried to reset it to no avail. Anyone ever dealt with something like this? Any successes? Waiting for the phone to die and then try one last ditch effort before I take it to a repair place to have the screen replaced.
  4. This team needs "Kirk Gibson" circa 1988 Doyers. And I don't mean limping up in bottom of the 9th Gibby, just no frills/balls to the wall/play through hurt/put up with no bs Gibby. Might still lose, but I liked Gibby's style.
  5. Glad the Bachman injury is not elbow/shoulder related. Of course, back problems can derail careers also but I'd take this over the former I guess. Was bummed by the original inclination that he might miss significant time but balanced that with the huge surprise of already having a "gravy" arrival of the 11th rounder Silseth to the majors.
  6. That's weird. I'm having lunch with Hellweg and Zach Borenstein midweek. Maybe Tank and I should combine lunches. Oh, and a Rondon, but I don't know which one since I get them confused all the time.
  7. I wonder what the status of Oday Aboushi's rehab is? Maybe they are in contact with him and that is the plan. And there is the guard they drafted last year, Brendan Jaimes from Nebraska. And this years draft. I wouldn't mind them dropping back in the 1st round to obtain a second to replace the one they sent to Chicago. 1st-WR, 2nd- OT, 3rd-OG? I'd also add that they went in and targeted the exact guys they wanted to fix specific issues. They still have money to spend and now are just waiting on deal similar to last years Aboushi, Feiler signings. Players of value are still getting cut.
  8. Bolstering that IDL with Austin Johnson and Sebastian Joseph-Day is sneaky solid. Might actually get some run stops and force teams into 2nd/3rd and longs. Let Bosa/Mack pin back their ears!
  9. Trade for Khalil Mack; then pickup JC Jackson at CB on a 5 year deal. Reasonable start to free agency. And I forgot about resigning Mike Williams to a 3 year, $60 million extension when the likes of Christian Kirk get a 4 year, $84 million deal.
  10. Damn, the AFC West is one tough division now.
  11. I was WAAAAAAAAAY more upset when he got rid of the Gentlemen's Forum.
  12. Purple? I thought it was blue? Shows you which crowd I'm with I guess.
  13. I didn't think that video was about much until I saw that tank roll over that little sedan. Holy Shit!
  14. Trading for Westbrook was a mistake. I was lukewarm about it but was willing to give it time initially, but that time has passed. WB is hard to watch most of the time, between not committing to doing the little things (like playing great defense!)....to continual poor decision making and execution...to being a horrible shooter from literally any range. We cannot trade him for anything decent. Best we could hope for is to trade him for someone with a equally horrible contract who would graciously accept a role and commit to that role. But, we'd likely have to kick in a draft pick to get that done.
  15. I was thinking this, too. I have always lived within 30 minutes/2 hrs of numerous NFL franchises (Seahawks, Chargers, Rams, Raiders) and have rarely attended a game. I'm thinking Brandon and many of the rest of us have a different definition of "die-hard sports fan".
