  1. Intersting. That is the first time I have seen that. Other articles were much more cryptic. I could continue to go and back and forth but ultimately we all agree that ARod is an idiot, which we already knew.
  2. Where did you read that his "consultant" prescribed anything to any patient?
  3. Snoop is President of Priority Records now and actually does quite a bit with urban youths. He is far from that hood rich mentality. However, these guys made a choice based on money while other artists choose to deliver a positive message and are willing to sacrifice some of the fame and money.
  4. The said doctor prescribed steroids in situations where it was beneficial to the patient. That isnt reckless. He was not seeing professional athletes according to reports. Could he possibly be exposed at some point? Sure but as of now saying that he recklessly prescribed steriods is dishonest and highly inaccurate from all I have read. With all that said, ARod should have never asked for a second opinion. Sounds like a player who wants to get on the field before it is taken from his for good.
  5. Recklessly is highly inaccurate from all I have read
  6. Not only all good, but those three will have you going good the rest of the night.
  7. Bruce, I love music and I follow many sites for new artists. lots of misses but every once in awhile you find something you like. This popped up some time in the last year.
  8. I thought you would all love it as much as I did. This song actually came up a few weeks ago at the brewery. We were drinking and started trying to one up each other, I won obviously.
  9. Unloading half your offense is really not a smart thing to do ever and I am sure those who say they would rather watch that would change their tune rather quickly, think Astros. Not sure why you all think this team couldnt win with a bit of tweaking next year.
  10. Anything by Die Antwood. Just skip to a couple minutes in and listen to her, I swear anyone can make music these days. Damn Euros love this though, just shows how backwards they are
  11. He could have and should have went to third though
  12. i am okay with this as long as the black boxer loses to the white boxer.
  13. Chuck, you should bring some IPA's down with you. Like Snoqualime Falls Wildcat IPA, and Elysian The Immortal
  14. He does that quite a bit. Damn novice beer drinkers not giving us brewery names.
  15. I agree which is why I posted that statement from MURS earlier. Some hip hop artists get it but the majority do not. The recklessness of many artists is quite disturbing.
  16. That is the case throughout the country but it seems the comment is short sighted and ignores the long term ramifications that racism has caused in our society. Outside of Native Americans, no group has been more oppressed than blacks. While we have come a long way in racial equality, blacks are still left with the result of years of oppression. With all that said, I do not think that most of these "protesters" truly care about creating change. Activism is what is needed to create change. They could easily accomplish this due to the level of white guilt in this country which honestly dumbfounds me. Of course not much can be expected to change culturally until the black community changes the perception that is currently held amongst other races in regards to the black community. Instead of JayZ and Stevie stating that they will not perform in the state, they should be leading a movement of change in the black community nationwide. Instead, they will just stay angry and not seek true change.
  17. The ones who are getting violent do not really want change, I think that is obvious.
  18. A common misconception is that Los Angeles is and has been a very accepting city in terms of race. This simply is not true as much as we would all like to believe it. Suggested reading: Bound For Freedom: Black Los Angeles in Jim Crow America Douglas Flamming
  19. Anyone who thinks the manager can help a player in a "clutch" situation has no clue about sports. All he can do is ensure the best matchup he can in these moments.
  20. Had some test brews this evening from Coastline Brewing Company who will be opening this Winter in Redondo Beach. I thought their Saison stood out as did the IPA. It will be interesting to see what tweeks they make and which beers they decide to include in their lineup when they launch.
  21. Hearing people constantly talking about being worried about Trouts happiness is beyond old. As for the OG post, it isn't like they really have any pieces outside of Vargas that could bring back anything substantial to make a deal worth making and like you said it is too soon to move Aybar or Kendrick.
  22. Agreed, had it on tap the other day and it was meh. Their Frog Breath is solid. FYI: Slaters 50/50 is hosting a Dudes tap takeover on Thursday night at their Anaheim location. Starts at about 7 PM. I will be there to support Jeff, Gil and the rest of the Dudes. Hopefully some of you can make it out and support locals.
  23. I have been working with the Friends of the LA River the last 6 months or so and in the process I have met many interesting people. Check this page and video out about a hopeful new brewery in the area who also cares about the future of the city. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dryriverbrewing/dry-river-brewing-more-than-a-brewery
  24. Went to the Verdugo Anniversary on Saturday. The 2011 120 Minute IPA was incredible. Beachwood Dank Epoch Triple IPA was great too. Got to give props to Noble though as many had Naughty Sauce for the first time and were very impressed.
