  1. Funny that we were talking about this yesterday and today there is an article. I forgot that the Knothole does have Noble but it has never been actually available the half a dozen or so times that I walked over and checked. I would be happy if I saw more Pujols HR's with meh beer though. The Angels, Athletics and Dodgers are striking out when it comes to craft beer. The potential these teams have to endorse and support local craft breweries while enhancing America’s pastime is amazing. Just think of how much better it would be seeing Albert Pujols, Brandon Moss or Matt Kemp blast a homer while you’re sipping a fresh pint of beer from a local brewery. http://www.beersinparadise.com/?p=15864
  2. Actually going to the Daily Pint tonight to give this a try among other beers of theirs. I know many say the Bourbon County is really good but outside of that we shall see. I don't expect much though. Also heading over to try The Bruery Or Xata. Blonde ale spiced with vanilla and cinnamon. Supposed to be their take on a Horachata.
  3. They did. I think misters full of beer are really the way to go though.
  4. Just a relaxing day. Nothing special as of yet. probably hit up Societe etc as well.
  5. Hermosa does an iron man event that just passed. i watched and laughed but did not partake. Run a mile, paddle a mile and then down a six pack. Good times.
  6. I know they did which does kind of suck but like you said, just means we all hit up the local liquor stores.
  7. Been to both and yes they both are great and not the ordinary fest.
  8. Awesome that they are bottling those. I wouldnt mind getting my hands on one. Aaron, doing an Alpine run on the 20th.
  9. Those beer festivals are highly overrated. Usually only two or three actual brews that are hard to find and the rest is just the norm yet one pays $40 or so for a handful of tasters. However, there are ones such as Firestone Walker, Anderson valley etc that are really good. Although, it is fun to go to one and watch someone down Le Freak and see how the evening proceeds......not that anybody here has ever done such things.
  10. I would imagine the SLH barrel aged are all on tap or cask, not bottled
  11. The Dodgers carry about the same but they have a better selection of styles. The Angels stay away from the stronger beers for a reason, a family environment. Of course supply and demand plays a part but it isnt like Angel City, Golden Road, Stone or ballast Point are just too far away to get in the stadium. All of them can handle it.
  12. Now the Lost Abbey one sounds good., Stone Double with toasted oak is really good.
  13. The Dodgers carry local craft breweries, they dont have to be from the OC. The problem isnt a lack of breweries or their ability to meet the demand of a sporting event, its has more to do with the Angels focus on a family experience and they are focused on how to improve that experience. Therefore they will continue to be followers in regards to beer sales and not leaders. Goose Island IPA sucks. We have never had their barrel aged beers out this way so I will hold off on knocking the brewery totally.
  14. I see that we are using the term "developed nation" rather loosely these days...
  15. They have their palomino pale ale. They have so many local breweries they could be tapping into in order to make a unique experience yet they fail. maybe it has to do with the contract they have with companies to bring in beer but I doubt that since Petco and SF both have great selections.
  16. ...and they do not have great craft beer at the stadium. Also, Naughty Sauce at Noble is the beer to have there.
  17. So, over/under on posts in this thread in the next few hours?
  18. I don't know if you have been following the story of Goose island but they have a great history of brewing but were bought out by a parent company of Budweiser. This led to an uproar in the beer community for obvious reasons. http://www.latimes.com/features/food/dailydish/la-dd-goose-island-beers-coming-west-20130708,0,6279713.story
  19. Katie, I looked at both of these a few weeks back and was not impressed with the beer lineups.
  20. http://drinkdrakes.com/site/triple-hopped-aroma-swap/ I wouldn't miss the Mohawk bend stop. This shall be great stuff.
  21. The Central Park Five-9/10 Greta Doc about the central park jogger case from 1989.
