We have to be the dumbest team on the basepaths what seems like for the last decade

I cannot emphasize enough how awesome it is to see Jo Adell hitting like this.
With his power/speed combo, if it is actually coming together for him, we are talking about a player who might legitimately be a superstar.
This isn't a Neto/Schanuel situation where the ceiling is "good player". Adell could seriously be a meat of the order best player on the team type of guy.
Would be incredible for the org.
They need to stick his ass at DH and never let him see the field again

Why tf do people here think Burnes would sign with the Angels?
Any of the top spenders in FA would love to have him and I’m sure the Orioles themselves would bring him back with their new owner looking to spend. Their team is STACKED. Why leave that for Arte (who doesn’t spend big on pitching) and this roster

Is it just me or is Moniak swinging first pitch on every single at bat. Jesus man take a pitch

This is what happens when your only upgrade to counter losing ohtani in the lineup is Aaron Hicks

Canning please don’t suck today

Also nice to see Caden go a solid 6.2 ip with only 3H and 2 BB given up. Just want to see him stay consistent and stay healthy this year. With that, he’ll be a top 100 prospect and have a starting rotation spot waiting for him next year
-
I’ve mentioned it already a few times in this thread. Amir Garrett continues to mow down AAA batters (as he should) idk if he’ll return to his old self once he’s back in the bigs and stink but he’s definitely earned a call up whenever the opportunity arises

Hopefully Soriano can give 5 innings

Send Schanuel down, have Thaiss play 1B and call Wallach up to be backup catcher?
I want Schanuel to get his ABs but I can’t stand Thaiss behind the plate but I think last year showed he can be a serviceable bat (his bat started to slow down when he was being asked to also catch every single day). Wonder if taking catching duties away from him lets him focus more on hitting and we see those numbers increase. It’s clear the staff wants to work Ohoppe like a dog behind the plate so why not find a way to get Thaiss and his bat in there more often. Can’t be any worse than what Schanuel is showing rn as much as I love his patience at the plate- Ron Mexico, Angel Oracle, HaloBronco and 1 other

All things aside, Cimber has been f**king amazing so far this year. He will bring a couple decent prospects at the deadline if we suck. Good find Perry

This signing will forever baffle me. That $11 mill could have been used in so many different ways. Im assuming he’ll need TJ and won’t pitch for another year +… so we’ll still have what another 1.5 years left of control when he comes back? For a 11mill a year reliever with only a 4 month good track record. Yikes

Can we just DFA Suarez, make canning our long man and call up Wantz to see what he can do. Nothing to lose at this point
-
Well, my hope lasted about 2 innings. Atleast he hasn’t given up 3hr!!!!
yet

O'Hoppe is getting playing time like it's 1985.
It’s starting to worry me a lot. Coming off a major injury last year and getting worked like this so early in the season. Wash must really hate what he’s seeing in Thaiss to give as much run as Ohoppe has been getting. (Yes he’s playing great and hitting well rn but still)
-
It would be nice to see Canning put together a solid 5 innings tomorrow and not give up his usual 3HRs a game
-
Can’t imagine Wantz, Rosenberg and Garrett will be in AAA for long
-
I’m fine keeping Rendon at lead off or maybe move him to the 2 hole but Rengifo needs to be up there in either spot and be playing every damn day
-
Random thought, has Pomeranz signed anywhere? Would gladly take him back and send Cisnero and Suarez to the moon
-
Seeing Anderson pitch this quickly and efficiently gives me a fat chub

Schanuel puts up better AB's than 90% of this roster, he may have a contact/barrel problem but it's not his lack of vision or patience. Give him time, he'll never be a 20-30 HR a year type of hitter nor does he need to be so lets see what he actually becomes with a healthy dose of AB's this year.
