Arte won't spend money on Snell or Martinez but will gladly let Perry spend $50 million on the bullpen..... doesn't make any sense, hasn't all off season. Either Perry is an idiot and blew his load on an "improved bullpen" or Arte cut him off unexpectedly midway through the offseason

Wayne gave a pretty thorough answer on your Blake Snell question @Chuck I appreciate the candidness of his answer. I doubt he knows much as far as any specific discussions going on but the way he talked about snell and specially mentioned that snell is more likely than montgomery gave me reason to believe there’s smoke. He also spoke like many of us do on here that if you have the opportunity to bring him in on the right deal it only improves the team and makes us better

Crazy that every day is just crickets. A cy young winner unsigned, a guy who just helped a team win a World Series unsigned, a guy who threw a no hitter last year (he’s not the greatest but someone will sign him), a vet DH bat that has been the epitome of consistency the last 10 years… all unsigned with 2.5 weeks to go before the season begins. Just insane

I’ve gotten shit all off-season for wanting to dump Sandoval. Dude hasn’t changed a bit, it’s only spring but it’s not like he’s good in the regular season. 1 or 2 good starts every couple months to give you hope followed 4/5 straight starts with games like this. He has 2 years left of control, would you want to pay him? 
I say no and get a bat or a couple of prospects for him. Sign snell. Move on 

Boras will wait as long as it takes so he can get his “highest AAV or highest whatever” contract headline 

Yankees still have a luxury tax problem. Maybe if the cole injury is serious they try to add a FA but it’ll be costly if they do

Actually the mariners are starting to deal with injuries to their pitching staff wouldn’t shock if they finally said f it and grabbed Snell but I hope it’s us. Having snell going into next years FA carousel would speak volumes in convincing guys to play here

Im not saying they should be given a job based on a spring training performance in lieu of a potential 2 WAR player, but man Perry has some decisions to make.

Marisnick is nothing more than AAAA fodder. Hicks will be our backup OF opening day. 
I can see Adell getting traded for some minor leaguers that won’t require being on the 40 man if we make 1-2 more additions before the season starts

Or it’s because Rendon is already hurt, Rengifo is hurt, Stefanic is hurt. Somebody has to play these games and we don’t have much IF depth at the moment which is why we were in talks with the likes of Anderson, Urshela, Kike. Maybe they didn’t pull the trigger on a FA IF yet because they were hoping Sano would put up a decent enough spring to justify saving a few mill. 

Id guess Lorenzen gets a $4-5 million deal with incentives that can take it up to the $10 mill range

Makes sense to do it with a guy like Wantz sure but Soriano has already had multiple surgeries correct? Why waste those bullets. While Soriano was sporadic at times last year he was a nice guy to have for the late innings because of his stuff. It’s not like we have some deep bullpen of shut down guys so why fk with one of the few guys who have shown the ability to pitch well late in games

Can we just let Soriano focus on being a dominant reliever and stop this idea of stretching him out. Made no sense from the start
