Angels reacted to bloodbrother in Another Hamilton trade that makes sense for both teams
This deal makes no sense for the Angels. That Choo contract is god awful and he's locked up for even longer than Hamilton is. Halos end up taking on more money for more years without the production to match it

Angels got a reaction from Angel Oracle in A different opinion on the Trout "decline"
He did decline offensively from 2013.
Did you see his second half numbers, though? He was getting more and more high fastballs and he didn't know what to do with them.

Angels got a reaction from Adios in A different opinion on the Trout "decline"
He wasn't the same hitter during the second half. Pitchers started pitching to him differently and kept attacking him more and more with high fastballs.
It's also not as much about how much he has declined as it is about the way he has declined. He's a different hitter.

Angels got a reaction from Doug Van Oort Sr in Orange County Register: Fryer: Angels' sleepwalking act disappoints fans
Given the circumstances, it's not stupid to suggest that he would've been left off of a bunch of postseason rosters.
Dude missed the final month+ of the regular season. Couldn't even play during any point of the final week of the regular season. Reported that it hurt to breathe. And all of a sudden he's fit and good to go for the postseason? Does not compute. And the results and the way he looked say it all.
Here were also his second half numbers: .228/.283/.387

Angels reacted to bloodbrother in Doyers reportedly shopping Puig
Gonna be awesome to watch Addison Russell turn into a star for the Cubs

Angels got a reaction from Chuck in [Fangraphs] The New and not-so Improved Trout
Tony Blengino is still writing for fangraphs? What a massive career facepalm to go from assistant to a MLB GM to some part-time writer on fangraphs.

It means that the best teams don't always win. You do realize that anything can happen in one series, right?
-
Angels got a reaction from Torridd in Who stays and who goes next year?
Nope. Just that the best teams don't always win.

3 games doesn't cancel out what happened over the previous 162 games.
The Angels got swept by the Astros in a short series this year. You wouldn't suggest that the Astros were a better team, would you?
-
Angels got a reaction from Torridd in Who stays and who goes next year?
The first two games could've gone either way. The Angels had plenty of chances to win both games. They just came up short. They couldn't get that one big hit.
Game 3 was bad.

Weaver and Shoemaker pitched fine. The first two games were winnable. It would've been nice to have a little more luck and some better execution during the key moments. Didn't happen
Wilson shouldn't have even been pitching. Rasmus was a way better option. Even Santiago
The Angels were the superior team, 3 games notwithstanding

Angels got a reaction from Tyler in Kenta Maeda, expected to be posted this winter
Tanaka is a lot better than Garza. Not even in the same stratosphere.

Angels were a better team than the Royals
The Royals were better than the Angels during this 3 game series

Angels got a reaction from Halos of Anaheim in Kenta Maeda, expected to be posted this winter
You're the same guy who said Tanaka is nothing more than a Garza and not nearly worth the deal he got.
Oops.

Angels got a reaction from stormngt in This team impressed me over the long haul
Anything can happen in the postseason, true. In a short series anything can happen. But it's not entirely a crapshoot. It's not a flip of the coin type thing and it's not entirely random.
For example, was Wilson sucking a result of pure randomness? Or was it a continuation of an ongoing problem that has been going on for 4 months now? How about Hamilton looking lost and awful? Random?
I am proud of the way the Angels played during the regular season and it was a fun season. But the goal should and will always be winning in the postseason.
Looking forward to 2015

The postseason is all that ultimately counts. We all know the Red Sox won the title last year. Does anyone rememeber or care what happened during the regular season? Who won the division? WC? Etc.? It's all forgotten and irrelevant.
It was a great regular season but an abysmal postseason.

Angels got a reaction from Torridd in Who stays and who goes next year?
A guy like Jepsen would not have the kind of trade value that would make it worth it letting him go.
He had a great year. He should stay.
-
Angels got a reaction from Torridd in Who stays and who goes next year?
Freese stepped it up during the second half and actually had a decent year. Pretty sure he stays. No problem with that. He had a .743 OPS during the second half of the season. Good for a 115 wRC+

Angels got a reaction from Vladdylonglegs in Angels Official Website: Hamilton can't find it in time
Can't find it in time, huh?
The postseason is clearly the best time to be experimenting with this kind of thing, right?

How were the Royals the hottest team in baseball? Do you even know what their record was from around the middle of September to the end of the regular season? Or did you think they're hot because they defeated the A's in epic fashion? The same A's that collapsed in epic fashion since around July?

Angels reacted to OregonLAA in Did Scioscia yank CJ Wilson too early?
Wilson shouldn't have made the postseason roster

Angels reacted to bloodbrother in Did Scioscia yank CJ Wilson too early?
He didn't yank him early enough as far as I'm concerned
the 4 pitch walk to Billy Butler of all people should have been the signal that CJ was gonna be crap. Yank him before he puts the team into a big hole
