  1. Why unfairly? Frank Merkle. Cost his team the pennant by being an idiot on the bases.
  2. Lynn tried out for the angels today. Go check out his line in a must needed game. He would fit right in....
  3. Maybe pujols gave a "do it like me" speech.
  4. He was getting much better pitches to hit due to teams fear of pujols. Just ask dusty baker....
  5. What a "race".... the leaders last 10 Bos 7-3 clev 9-1 houston 6-4 with 5 in s row nyy 8-2 Now the wild card "race" Minn 4-6 LAA 4-6 tex 3-7 Sea 4-6 kc 4-6 tb 3-7 balt 2-8 GREAT STUFF!!!
  6. If 47 games ago someone would have offered 27-20 would you have believed it?
  7. 0-3 here we come. Typical for the AL wild card so far. Which team doesn't want it the least.
  8. Ha ha. Can't pitch, hit, or field. Great combination they got there.
  9. I can't tell if you are joking? The Twins are 11th out of 15 in team ERA. The Angels are 5th. Who has the most over performing pitching staff you have ever seen??
  10. As I posted elsewhere. Twins are not to worry about, they are about to implode. The Angels have to worry about the Angels. Will they match the implosion? It will only take just over .500 ball to be in a playoff at least.
  11. Let the implosion begin. Yesterday I predicted a 5-8 finish for Twins. 0-1 so far and doing their best to give games away. Can the angels finish 7-6 or better?
  12. Uh... What? Do you even follow the Angels? They have the 5th lowest ERA in the AL. Almost half a run better than the Twins. The offense has been worse than the pitching. The pitching has been better than anyone gives them credit for.
  13. Lets be realistic. MLB kept the Angels competitive by adding another wild card. Until this past 1-2 weeks teams at or even below .500 were still "competetive." The good and the potentially frustrating for the great teams that a full year of greatness can be knocked away by a .500 team that limped into the playoffs by process of elimination.
  14. Gotta love that baseball has become "Who is less mediocre down the stretch."
  15. I always wondered why sac flys don't count as at bats. I get sac bunts, guys are literally giving themselves up. But on Sac Flys they are trying to get hits, just happen to hit to outfield with a runner on third. Why does a grounder that scores a run not count as a sac grounder and not affect batting average?
  16. Man negative. Angels picked up a game this weekend. Twins have to go to the Yankees, including a game pitching Colon. Could easily lose 2/3 at least. Angels have bad next 6 but if can tread water, easy last 7 with ChiSox and Mariners. Twins have to pitch Colon and his 6.5 ERA three more times this year including slated for the final game of the season if it comes to that. 2 game lead is nothing still.
  17. Twins gonna fail tonight. Molitor giving games away. Gets 6 surprising innings from old man colon. Brings him out for the 7th. Leaves him after 4 pitch walk. Next guy doubles. Lead gone. Molitor another's idiotic manager. When the Twins miss the playoffs, Molitor should be reminded of that decision.
  18. As long as there are as many games left as you are behind, there is a chance.
  19. The twins are pitching colon today who has been awful. Can't believe they are still running his butt out there. This matchup does not favor the twins.
  20. Only the people who own the spots can truly say that .
  21. I said the same thing last night. It is comforting to know that I have the power to influence the game by my posts here. If that's the case I curse you with herpes.
