Both are from Field of Dreams.
Nice try, yourself.
1st quote is from Eight Men Out, about Shoeless Joe Jackson.

AO's dream has come true where the universes of Angels baseball and WWE have crossed-over.
Undertaker is a great moniker for a closer, I like it!!

Just thinking that if Robles is a 35 save closer, the rest of the bullpen will be in good roles. This could be a 95 win team.

I just hope that every visiting team makes the Asterisks be strip searched before every game. And insist that every time a player goes through tunnel that they get strip searched again.

Again...do these guys actually do anything besides eating and breathing during the offseason?
With the meniscus it could have been torn a long time ago. It probably finished tearing when spring training ramped uo.

I want you to know I printed this post out, rolled it into a tube, and shoved it directly into my anus.
I think that is normal for you.

Wow this is really log thread - and the trade may not happen.

I used to think when someone was diagnosed as stage 4 that they delayed finding out, and knew they were sick.
Until one of my best friends died. She went from diagnosis and told she had a few months to live to me being called that she was unconscious and had hours. I will always miss her.
And @tdawg87, I hope cancer gets AIDS too!

@Chuckster70 You need to make the haha comment closer to the like. Us old people have to mouse over several times to get it. I guess I don't mouse in a straight line.

1st. Of course I have said that every year since 1977, so my track record isn't that good.

So the Giants traded for him to release him? The poop smell must be getting to them up in San Fran.

I think this is just a one off trade to improve the depth of the pen. Andriese isn't very good but he has some upside and has logged a lot of decent innings. I expect he is the guy that comes in to games early when the starter doesn't get into the 5th.
In other words, he's going to be used A LOT!

This is a satire post inspired by the fake story of Ryu claiming the Angels didn't want another Asian player.
Just getting that in before too many here conclude this is serious.
It's not serious?

Heard that Felix is available too. Better hope that he does not end up with the
AstrosAthletics. I would be scared for the American League teams if Felix goes toHoustonOakland. He’ll "magically" rediscover his 2009, 2010, or 2014 form and go something like 22-3 with a 2.20 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and strike out 300 batters in 230 innings pitched next season. And he'll find that elite fastball that he used to have in his arsenalJust rub this stuff on your butt everyday. Instant 20 game winner.

I don't know. Most of it has to do with money. Are the Phillies that much closer to the playoffs than the Angels? Are the White Sox? I get the Yankees but they offered him the most money, similar to Stras with the Nationals. Other than those two teams who signed high priced deals with instant contenders?
I don’t either. The Angels have a solid defensive club and good offense. Even a decent bullpen with the weakening of the Astros the have a good chance.
Maybe it is all smoke and mirrors and they’re set on pitching in their mind.

Well he didn't get the $100 mil everyone was projecting. 4 years is too much for Ryu but at $20 mil a year that's not a terrible contract. Eppler had free agency to pick up some pretty good arms, and I don't know how anyone could say that Eppler hasn't been a massive failure in free agency in the pitching department. Now it's up to him to put together a nice trade scenario where we bring back a top of the rotation arm with out giving up the farm. I don't know if he can do it but I am willing to wait till the season begins to see how this all plays out. Not stoked with how the off season has played out so far though.
How much is Eppler and how much is they don’t want to play for the Angels? A lot of these pitchers have mileage on them and want to play for an instant contender.
Toronto excluded.

Insert some sour grapes comment here.

Any ground ball pitchers out there? I know they're aren't sexy but with an infield of Rendon/Simmons/Fletcher there would be a lot of outs recorded.
