    Wouldn't defense make a difference when it comes to squalid pitching? Seems like starters having to get extra outs would make them not last longer in the game, and tax the bullpen. That would cause more of an issue with run differential.

    Everyone (including me) thought the trade was centered around Nolasco. The trade was really centered around the $4 million that dropped the Angels under the threshold.

    I remember years ago watching an Angels / Red Sox game at AngelA Stadium when Mathis air mailed a throw into centerfield. The Red Sox fan next to me said "wow, you don't see that everyday!" I told him you don't follow the Angels do you?
