seenoevil reacted to Angel Oracle in Gia is Nails
Makes one wonder if the eye issue did play a larger part than realized in his defensive struggles in 2015.

I've said I'll liked Johnny G all offseaon. He earned a shot at it this year.

I was one of the few here who stuck by Gia when everyone was bashing, moaning and groaning about how terrible he was over the off season.
The tone sure changed quickly.
I'm surprised not even one little bit..

seenoevil reacted to Angels#1Fan in Orange County Register: Hector Santiago gives Angels' rotation a much-needed lift
Props go out to Hector for pitching the Angels to their first win of the season.
Hopefully he'll be more like the pitcher he was in the first half last year.

seenoevil reacted to Angel Oracle in Orange County Register: Hector Santiago gives Angels' rotation a much-needed lift
This might be the Santiago that we see in 2016, now that he's been in a MLB rotation for an entire season.
We desperately need it too.

ANAHEIM – Over the past week, the Angels placed two of their starting pitchers on the disabled list, with the latest, Andrew Heaney, shelved Wednesday due to a muscle strain. That came on the heels of existing injury-related concerns to the...

seenoevil reacted to Sciosciapath in Jessica Mendoza
I personally don't see the infatuation with her.
She never played professional baseball in her life (don't give me that softball crap, completely different game). Isn't one of the main pitches in softball a "rise ball"? How many major league pitchers throw a rise ball?
Why is some woman who never played major league baseball breaking down and critiquing major league players swings? And why are we so PC that we praise this? Just like now, I call her out for being mediocre and never play the game of baseball, I'm sure ill be labeled a sexist even though I'm not. I just don't think she deserves to be up there.
Because she has a rack and speaks eloquently means she is good at what she does or deserving? Nah.

With their first chance to pick a 2016 poison -- Trout or Albert, the Rangers pick Albert and it's poison to the Rangers.

seenoevil reacted to NrM in Point Counterpoint Quick Hit – Is It Time To Fire Scioscia?
Really? You believe the most powerful manager in baseball(history?) doesn't have much to do with the construction of the roster? He can basically force a GM to resign, yet he doesn't have a large of amount of influence when constructing a roster?
Now that's ridiculous.

Scioscia is never held accountable to some of you guys.
I'm sick and ****ing tired of the "but the players/roster suck" argument. It's become the equivalent of "will anyone think of the kids".
Scioscia has had more power and influence than any GM on the Angels over the last 10 years. But please continue to place all the blame on the former GM.
How many ****ing GM's will we have to go through before you guys realize that maybe..just maybe.. Sciosca might be the problem..

...the Angels need to keep Scioscia to give Eppler some stability at the start of his tenure.
It did wonders for Dipoto, so why not?
I don't know of any other organization in baseball in which the GM must agree with the field manager or be fired.

We discussed this to death. Doesn't really address my post.
If Scioscia has more power and influence than any of the GMs, then he should be held accountable for the failures. The GM shouldn't always be the scapegoat.
I don't care if people like him. Being a good guy doesn't make him a good manager.
I admit to being biased. I've wanted Scioscia gone for as long as I can remember.

seenoevil reacted to DirkDrox in 40th anniversary of "The Bad News Bears"
I made a list of my Top 5 sports movies for IMDB...
1) Hoosiers
2) The Natural
3) The Bad News Bears
4) Rocky
5) The Cutting Edge
"The Bad News Bears" is a very underrated movie, plus it was film at Chatsworth Fields in the Valley where I played some all-star games in Colt League during the 70's.
Side note: Invented movie drinks I had read about... The "Buttermaker Boilermaker" -Take a can of 16oz. Budweiser, pour out the top 3-4oz, and top it back up with Wild Turkey. Posit!

At this point, I'll settle for Alfred Ogilve.
