  1. they done messed up a classic.
  2. Reminds me of Chet from Weird Science: "I'm telling mom and dad ... I'm even considering making up some sh!t."
  3. Kinda like a knock off steel pulse.
  4. Pirates all the way! I love the black and gold uniforms. Reminds me of CSULB.
  5. This seems pretty cool. My biggest gripe with the stadium is the area that surrounds it. So the Platinum Triangle and ARTIC could build the area.
  6. I agree with most of what you have been saying, tank. My daughter is significantly younger than yours, so I don't necessarily worry about this yet. I know that one of my main goals is to guide her to make sound decisions and filter through the mainstream garbage being marketed at her. However, I feel there is a certain 'inevitability' to bad behavior. This does not mean that every college age girl will grind guys in public, or be 'whores', but even the greatest moral compass will lead a good kid into bad decisions, some of which will be inappropriate. As a parent, it will be my hope these decisions are not typical behavior patterns, but that my child will be able to look back at her actions and analyze her judgement. I think the other side to this issue is that it show boys how to treat women. I was getting my hair cut the other day and some middle school kid was on his iphone showing his little brother 'twerking' and explaining how it is when "girls shake their booties." Male expectation, to a certain degree, plays a part into girl's actions, which reinforces a cycle that needs sexual objects in the media for youth to imitate and idolize.
  7. I really hope when my daughter is in her tweens she does not idolize celebrities like Miley. Not because I disapprove of the act necessarily, but because the music sucks.
  8. Is he friends with the "only raping clown in town" guy?
  9. Well at least Baker is not our manager. That was pathetic.
  10. Well, I'm sure they rely heavily on the talent available from the international market.
  11. Imagine everyone on the roster with some sort of signature move. A routine fly ball by Shuck turns into air machine guns into the opposing dugout. When someone on your team showboats, you have no choice but to accept it. It doesn't mean you have to like it. Watching some LLWS games, notice how many kids say their favorite player is Trout. That speaks volumes to him being the face of the franchise, and to some degree, the MLB.
  12. You are on to something. If he could get our guys dancin' and a' prancin' like that I'm all for it. Throw in those go-go dancers and I might never missing a game.
  13. I do like to see passion on the field. Passion in the way of crashing against a wall, breaking up a double play, or steamrolling the catcher at the plate. Erstad did not need to have pizzaz to exude passion. He just played the game hard. I will take that any day over the football player type that constantly strokes his own ego by celebrating every damn action he does on the field, or trash talking every time a mic is in his face. It is exciting to see a team pumped up together through good play. Show me a good team, and I will show you passion and emotion.
  14. It's okay. Puig and his attitude are a perfect fit for the Dodgers. I enjoy the fact he was benched, but when he is making however many million as an international free agent, he probably cares little. The real test is if / when he does something immature in a playoff game, how does Mattingly respond?
  15. If he could do a celebratory twerk at home plate, then I'm sold.
  16. I say we get ex wrestlers to manage teams and show these players the fundamentals of showboating.
  17. I thought it was pretty good. He was able to make the movie stand apart from the other Halloweens. It was the most enjoyable one other than 1 and 2.
