My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves books. (Something I am sure to facebook brag right before she goes to Salisbury U). This, combined with the fact I am an Elementary School teacher, means I have amassed a nice library.
Reading these books brings me back to when I was a kid and why I love reading more than crappy TV. My new favorite hobby is going to the thrift store and picking up some books.
Cool story.
So, my question is, what are your favorite children's books? To clarify, these have to be picture books, so no Harry Potter.
1) In the Night Kitchen by Maurice Sendak
2) Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems
3) Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith V.
These are my top three at the moment.
