Angels back to dumpster diving again I see.
Same old Angels it seems that they never learn.
-
I think this team has shown it will be lucky to win one game this series.

yah but we didn't crush our future to get them.
I was actually waiting on this to see if they made the playoffs first because if they don't it's an epic disaster. Especially if they get beat for a WC spot by CIN.
Many here were so complimentary on their offseason but it's just another indication of why you have to do things the right way and remain patient. They were almost there and then jumped the gun.
The more moves you make in this regard, the greater chance there is that some of them aren't going to work and if you need all of them to work then you're screwed.
They traded away their futures yet their minor league system is still way better than the Angels.
Says a lot right there.

This team is a joke at this point.

Imagine bringing in Sleggers to put out the fire.
What can go wrong?

I wonder if @Lou has been missing lately because he's busy compiling all the idiotic comments written about Adell last season.
It certainly would take a long time.
Let's not get crazy here. He's still performing at below replacement level but he is doing better than last year but that bar was so low that improvement was inevitable.
He still needs to make a jump from here to be a major league starting outfielder.

Miggy has averaged 11 HR and 45 RBI over the past five years. Yikes. He's staggering into the Hall of Fame.
Yup he's the one HOF player that has aged worse than Pujols

They should DFA Guerra as well.
Just get rid of completely useless players.

Marsh's bat looks worse than Adell did last year.

That’s crazy. Maybe we should have kept Heaney. Well maybe not.
Just shows you that most of the expected inning eaters have all underperformed or injured like Cobb.
Definitely not a good thing for the team to have Ohtani to be number one in that stat.
-
Shohei is 1st on the team in innings pitched now.
-
What I would give to see someone throw at Pujols in next at bat.

The defense fucked over Detmers on that homerun.
Not really.
If you can't locate your fastball in this league you are in trouble.
Especially when you are not throwing high 90s.
He seems to locate his offspeed better than his fastball on his first two starts.
-
Fuck.
Why not just walk his old ass there?
-
Please don't let Pujols get a hit.
-
How did they call that a strike?

Sorry but he isn’t. Watch the stuff not the result so far.
I am watching it and he can't seem to locate his fastball.
His fastballs are mostly hitting the middle of the strike zone and that's a bad place to miss.
-
Probably doesn't help that his first two starts are against top 5 lineup in the major league.
It's sad to compare our current lineup against it.
-
Who would have thought that Detmers would be the worst out of all our young pitchers?
Not sure if he should work it out in the majors or get sent down to work on things.

Tbf he shouldn't be batting 4th. He's a solid bench guy, but unfortunately he has to be in the lineup every game right now.
They are better off bringing up Thaiss and letting him play 1st.
He possibly cannot play any worse than Gosselin and he obviously has much more upside especially going forward.
-
It's time to DFA Gosselin.
He was productive in the beginning but he has turned into a pumpkin since beginning of July.
He's not even close to being a replacement level player at this point.

No it doesn’t. Laureano isn’t buying his gear from Chad at his local Planet Fitness.
Laureano could have been using it in the offseason and took too much and now just recently got popped.
It was also demonstrated for the first time that the nandrolone metabolites 19-NA and 19-NE are detectable in urine samples for at least 6 months after a single im injection of 150 mg nandrolone decanoate, which is still above the threshold of 2 ng/ml in one third of subjects.
The 2ng/ml is the threshold the MLB uses. Laureano could’ve also just been rolling the dice and lost.
A large percentage of men use Testosterone and as long as you’re fully aware of MLB testing guidelines there is a bit of wiggle room. In the US it is incredibly easy to walk into a clinic and get a testosterone prescription these days. Canada not so much. The guys who get caught are the ones that get a bit reckless with their doses.
I do agree that most athletes are using they’re just a lot more careful about it.
If you play your cards right you could get a HGH prescription these days. I wonder how that would play in terms of MLB drug testing
MLB doesn't test for exogeneous testosterone and they only pop if they test at higher range of 4 to 1 testosterone to epitestosterone. So most players could get away with TRT as long as they don't go crazy with the doses. Wouldn't surprise me if lot of players are on it. More stricter testing league like UFC and Olympics test for any exogenous testosterone and can differentiate between testosterone from plants and ones produced by your body.

And unless im wrong, Deca is an injectable.....
yup I think your body breaks down deca if you ingest it orally so I highly doubt it was done accidentally.

Same old Angels.
Nothing changes every year.
Now they can overpay for some over the hill position player.
