  1. As illustrated, it probably wouldn't. Even if they found a way, like how they put graphics on a curved roof over Fremont Street, it would be at such an extreme angle that it would be virtually useless to anyone sitting on the first base side. Another observation that came from these illustrations is that there is no apparent seating in left field. I can't imagine that many people willingly standing for an entire baseball game
  2. Send him low enough in the minors and he might have a shot at achieving it.
  3. The two-time WNBA champions. Aces is also the name of Reno's AAA team (Diamondbacks farm club).
  4. People keep suggesting this, despite the fact that the name is already taken and copyrighted by our WNBA team.
  5. Brilliant job coming up with so many appropriate titles.
  6. IMO they should have stayed with the Wild Wild West location on Tropicana west of I-15. I get the idea about Strip proximity. However, traffic on the Strip is already horrible without 35,000 people trying to get to a single location at the same time right at a major intersection.
  7. From a Facebook post, credit America's Pastime: The Love for Baseball
  8. It made me a fan of the South Sydney Rabbitohs. They have one of the most unique names in sports, and I was surrounded by their fans in the south end zone. They were a blast to be around, even though their team lost.
  9. It was my first time seeing a live match. I know very little about the game. I only went because a friend who spent two years in graduate study in Australia gifted me the ticket. I found it entertaining once I gained a little more understanding of the rules. One thing that I found interesting was when a trainer would be bandaging a player on the field, and the game clock was still running. The clock doesn't stop for much. One interesting practice was kicking the ball into the stands along the sideline. The team that kicked it out then begins play at the spot on the field where the kick went out of bounds.
  10. He actually had a hard hit ball to the outfield, but it was right at the right fielder. His double play partner is Jackson Nicklaus - no relation to the famous pro golfer, despite the similarity in name. They also have twin brothers in the bullpen - from my home town of Jacksonville, FL. Both throw in the mid 90s. I also commend the organizers for misspelling Berkeley on the scorecards given out at the game.
  11. I am at the Las Vegas Ballpark for Ohio State-Oklahoma in the College Baseball Classic. Reggie Willits is the associate head coach for the Sooners. His son Jaxon is playing shortstop, wearing his dad's #77. Australian Rugby at Allegiant Stadium last night, which is a story for another time.
  12. It's finally here. The milk that will never spoil. A marvel of modern science.
  13. I can't tell you how many times that I heard that crap over the holidays. The wife insisted on keeping the holiday music channel tuned in on SiriusXM. I must have heard it about a billion times - along with versions of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells by every known artist, living or dead. Add to this one All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey.
  14. Brother Louie - Stories Lola - Kinks Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen We Built This City - Starship
  15. Don't know what the Knights are going to do. Eichel is on LTIR, and Stone has a lacerated spleen and is out for the rest of the regular season and possibly the first round of the playoffs. Supposedly Eichel was to have become available during the current road trip, but so far it hasn't happened. According to a local news story, three days ago he skated for the first time since injuring his knee.
  16. Not quite. In July 2020, the Trump Organization received an appraisal with a value of $84.5 million, but on the 2020 Statement the Trump Organization valued Trump Park Avenue at $135.8 million.
  17. I'm doing my part to draw you out of your shell. If you're interested, the Ohio State baseball team is playing in a four team tournament at the Las Vegas Ballpark March 1-3. I'm thinking about trying to catch one of the Oklahoma games. Cal and Pitt are the other two teams.
  18. Bucket list places to visit. Orkney, Scotland Austria Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, northwest of St. John's
