Nobody cares about participation trophies but you missed the point brother. There's maybe 10-20 players in baseball where you know what you're going to get. And there are very few relievers in that category.

All you can do is try to get dudes who the the most likely to work out well. Iglesias Loup and Tepera seemed like good bets to anyone with any baseball sense. But being the Angels, it hasn't worked out so far this season because reasons.

And I have failed despite effort, yeah, just like i'm sure you haven't won every case you've tried.

Fine, but he still assembled a bullpen that sucks major ass.  I don’t know what else to tell you.  He failed at his job.

The guys he picked up were good decisions.

You can't honestly look at Loup, Iglesias, Tepera etc and say "Yeah, obviously those guys weren't going to work out." They're dudes who have been near the top of their class.

The flip side is that he does either nothing or trys some creative shit with converting starters to relivers from our system. But then that doesn't work out and he'll catch shit for not trying for guys with track records.

Sometimes you can try really, really hard and fail.  To me it doesn’t mean you’re entitled to a participation trophy.

I’m sure you’ve tried hard and failed many, many, many times.

At times a firing often puts a spark up a teams ass that is underachieving.  Look at the Phillies!

In Girardi’s defense, the Phillies got to play the Angels right after he was fired.  In fact he probably saw the schedule and was like “dammit, they’ll probably sweep that shit team and I’ll look like a dumbass.”

He was also probably thinking “all I’ve got to do is get to the Angels series and I’m ok.”

Last summer my bandmate flew out at the end of my family trip and my usually solo drive home and he drove home with me.  Before we hit the road we stayed in Chicago for 2 more nights.  Best and cheapest place I could find was in Wrigleyville which is basically Boystown.  One of the nights we walked into a bar and and it was total Police Academy “de de de dum dum dum”.  So we bailed and then at the next place we were all sketched out that people thought we were homos I punched him to prove I was straight.  Almost a true story.

He has the same bad juju that the rest of the team has. Before this horrid losing streak he was dominating like his best self.

Why are you blaming the jujus?  You been hanging with tdawg?

  6. You guys really should spend some time in Chicago.  I’ve spent a ton of time there and it’s lovely in the summertime.  And I used to live in Los Angeles and I’d say it has a much higher percentage of square mileage that isn’t no-go areas compared to LA (which is about 80% shithole).  Chicago is about 50/50.

Blame starts at the top, Arte Moreno and his total lack of how to truly oversee a MLB franchise.   It’s all about the big splash.

Well Weekend at Arte’s, a big 💩 just splashed in your pool.

Moreno isn’t the one with the ball or bat in his hands.  He hasn’t been perfect but there are much worse owners than Moreno.

It's tough to win when the team's 4 top offensive players are either injured or shitting the bed. Pretty easy to pitch around the others. Perry built the bullpen that has lost how many of these games. Starting pitching has blown a few too.

This team just sucks right now. Is that all Maddon's fault? not entirely, but he should take some of the blame, as should Perry, Trout, Ohtani, Thor, Iglesias and everyone else.

The clubhouse supposedly had this great chemistry that pulled everyone together. Where is that chemistry now?

Not that anyone asked but I’d place blame like this:

    (1) Bullpen failure

    (2) Offensive

    (3) Bullpen management

    (4) Minassian

    (5) Not everyone changing profile pic to baby Grinch

I also wonder how much we saw at the beginning was smoke and mirrors.  Is Thor REALLY back?  Is Ward REALLY the next Bonds?  Is Lorenzen good?

  9. We were talking about whether this is a talented team.  I thought they were to be honest.

But just as they went 24-13 perhaps in spite of Maddon, can a manager really make a talented team lose 11 in a row without purposely trying to throw the games?  And if no, then maybe this team isn’t anywhere near as good as we thought.
