And the thing is, it's not just the house prices.  But it's the yearly taxes that go with it.  If they ever repealed Prop 13 like they want to, Calolfornia would see a collapse unlike any other.

The teachers union will try again with another Prop 15-like tactic in 2022 or 2024.  And this will kill small business.  Was remarkable to me that the Anti-15 crowd didn't hammer home that you're not getting increased property taxes from commercial/industrial landlords, but rather most leases are triple net, meaning the leasee is responsible for taxes, insurance and CAM charges.  This state has a spending problem.

Somehow it didn't stop us from having a baby. With how many diapers our daughter goes through, I think we're singlehandedly increasing the global temperature by 0.1 degrees.

Having a baby is not contributing to overpopulation.  Having 5 kids would be contributing to overpopulation.  Wait until the kid switches to real food - those diapers become nuclear

And I wasn’t calling Redondo “average”.  I was referring to the “average” Fox News propaganda bubble person.

No offense Redondo but clearly you’re our #1 example of this here.

It’s like if I said “Average AJ” I’d be speaking of the average unemployed person.

or “”Average Larry” would just be a random midget.

Wait, Larry’s a midget? When the fuck did this happen?!

Lol.  Like you will be able to find parking for that moving van.

I think that's the problem with local government.  They spend and spend and spend.  And they need more and more money.  They can't expand their borders, so the only way to get more money to spend is to build up.  All in the while, you have 200,000 people become 300,000 in the same footprint and infrastructure.  Money that should be spend improving that infrastructure, police, fire is instead diverted to social programs.

Yep.  And then take into consideration the impact on the power grid and everything mandated to be powered electrically.

our gov't leaders,  both state and local, don't seem to understand the concept of overcrowding. in glendale, if you're a developer with a housing idea, you have carte blance. then after massive over-building which results in over-crowding and great difficulty in parking, our city has come out and told us we all need to reduce our water usage by 15%.

while i have no issues with being a responsible citizen, i have huge issues with cities that keep over-doing do it, then require everyone to cut back on how much energy or water (or both) that they're using. in glendale, the city council sees more tax dollars added to the public purse, which is always in need of more money. they don't understand how much their idiotic housing policies diminish the quality of life for everyone. i can't wait to get out of here when i retire, assuming i'll be able to drive the moving van more than 7 mph during the middle of the day to travel 4 miles to get out of dodge.

    Ewww, you're inside @Adam

There’s like a 40% chance she shows up at your house tonight and murders your cat for posting that picture.  That’s how batshit she is now.

But there's a 28% chance if she does show up, Adam is getting a threesome, but she's gonna cut him to make blood jewelry.  Adam, I hope you've been practicing your closing move.

i played golf twice in one week in palm springs when it was 117. Never again, cold beer or not.

Tanker, I hope you tee’d off prior to 8:00am.

We teed off one time for a joint 40th bday weekend with spouses when we got out there at 3:30. It was 117. We made it through ten holes and called it quits. The adhesive on the rubber flaps of my buddy’s tailgate reactivated and fell off

    this seems like man-bun territory.

but then again, i couldn't imagine drinking one that wasn't cold.

@WicketMaiden, is it true you lads like to drink your beer warm?

Oh it’s cold, but when it gets north of 110 on the course it gets warm quickly. Ergo, Corpus style. That’s how they drink it down in Corpus Christi when it gets hot
