  1. Bears repeating, in fact it needs to be shouted into Scioscia's ear.
  2. Wow, Robertson might strike out the side on nine pitches.
  3. Another game thrown away, literally. Roberts was all over that fat pitch.
  4. Nolan Arenado has a 23-game hitting streak, but he's 0-2 tonight so far. Colorado leads Texas 4-1 in the 5th inning.
  5. I had this book as a kid. I also dreamed of being an FBI agent.
  6. last 16 games, hitting .259, but with a BABIP of .400
  7. LATEST UPDATE! LHP Sean Burnett (elbow) could be close to beginning a minor league rehab assignment. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/24552280/mlb-rumors-injuries-and-news-roundup-for-may-5 Is that "close" in real time, or geological time?
  8. Ten hits in that inning, eight of them singles!
  9. Correct! That's a photo of Wells walking off the mound after giving up 5 runs on 7 hits in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Angels would score three more runs in the inning and take a 9-2 lead.
  10. A little photo trivia to brighten the day. What is the context of this picture? Year and details, please:
  11. The pitchers aren't giving him "his pitch" anymore as they know he's not swinging at the other decent ones. It's a matter of painting the outside corner for strikes. And then there's the first pitch that he's letting go by. That's a cheap strike. Is he over-thinking it at the plate? Just hit the darn ball!
  12. Mike Trout first 15 games this year: .323/.380/.646 16 SO in 71 PA 5 HR, 11 RBI .364 BABIP next 15 games: .273/.388/.436 23 SO in 67 PA 1 HR, 8 RBI .438 BABIP That last number tells me his hitting zone is getting smaller. He's only swinging at the best pitches in the strike zone. The pitchers are killing him on the outside corner. He's letting those pitches go by for strikes. He's still getting his share of walks, though.
  13. Don't forget his sparkling .349 batting average at the Big A. (not including this year, of course)
  14. Yeah, they actually perform, so they're headed back down for sure.
  15. His BABIP is .395. He needs to swing at more of those two-strike pitches on the outside corner. The pitchers are placing them right there for strike three, and he's letting them go.
  16. J.B. Holmes leading by two at the last hole. Great story...recovered from brain surgery in 2011. This will be his first win in six years if he holds on. Mickelson +4 after his round of 63 yesterday. Sound familiar?
  17. The players feel sorry for the fans at the stadium.
