  1. It's not a snarky comment. It's unfortunate that you saw it that way. It's a honest question as to how reading your experience differs in legitimacy from the experiences of others if all are read by strangers on the internet. It wasn't really directed towards you (hence me referring to you in third- and not second-person and quoting not your post but someone else's). You are certainly welcome to voice your opinion to or about the question but I don't really think anyone is confused as to the reason behind your view of legitimacy of your own experience. Or even those you personally know. But my question is, if someone doesn't personally know you (as is, I assume, the case with AFL and AJ) then how would reading your experience online differ in their mind from when they read others who they also don't know on the exact same medium? Why would it have more legitimacy? Why would it be expected to have more legitimacy?

  2. FWIW, talked to a buddy at the gym yesterday. He had dropped out of med school to try other things (both his parents are doctors. He went that route because they wanted him to but he wasnt really into it). Anyway, now hes back and going PA route.

Anyway, he said nurses arent doing very well anymore. Kind of suprised me because ive dates several nurses and they all seem to do pretty decent. But he said with the new obamacare stuff, hospitals arent getting paid as much (not sure how to explain it because i dont know the specifics), and its trickled donw to nurses.

Just something to think about to add to the debate

So the pharma companies are using all their money to pay for research on these advanced treatments, insurances companies have super low profit margins, and now hospitals aren't making any money either?

There's a shit-ton of money that must be disappearing out of our system somewhere. Maybe we should check Panama.

  3. I don't know how Blarg and his firsthand knowledge can compete with a few people who read a couple articles online and are clearly experts about a system they probably have no secondhand knowledge of in countries they've possibly never even been to.

Wouldn't all of us reading blarg's first hand knowledge online be the exact same as reading other's first hand knowledge online?

“White life is wrong,” Feliciano was quoted as saying by Infowars.com. “Our argument is that we should never affirm white life. White life is based off black subjugation.”

When a white debater asked Feliciano whether he should commit suicide, Feliciano said “I don’t see why not, it’s ethical.”

When the white debater suggested that it might be better to remain alive and fight the social forces that promote “white privilege,” Feliciano rejects the notion.

“Struggling against the structure means putting yourself on the line, putting your body on the line, do it. Affirmative suicide, that’s cool, it’s one little step in the right direction,” Feliciano said, according to Infowars.com.

Ironically, the debate topic was supposed to be about renewable energy.

    Haha

  5. I can move to another state if I don't like the taxes they have. It is way different moving to another country.

Also, at least I take a little piece of mind that state income tax stays more local and I might get 10 cents on the dollar instead of 1 cent.

In theory, I believe all income tax is theft.

We agree with each other. With the exception that I don't mind taxes. I mind waste. Unfortunately taxes inevitably lead to waste.
