  1. that may be, but it shouldn't mean that you are allowed to break it if you don't agree with it.

if you move to austria or japan or egypt, don't you think there are laws in place that you are obligated to obey as part of being a resident there? why should it be any different here?

Do you call the cops when you see someone going 80mph down the freeway? That's how I feel about an otherwise law-abiding Mexicans illegal immigration into this country.

If the issue is that they broke a law but the issue is also that the law shouldn't exist is there really an issue then?

  2. I really thought we'd give our Polygamist friends and neighbors the same respect and dignity in the eyes of the law that they deserve before we started removing the words "husband" and "wife" from our laws. But apparently the dems had other ideas.

Haha. Yeah, that should be the priority for tax code changes.

  3. dear foreigners, please pick and choose which of our laws you want to follow. we're cool with it, as long as we don't have to pay $8 for lettuce.

    signed,

    the libs

The only one that most of them aren't following is the one you were lucky enough to not be able to break.

Explain how someone being born in America helps our society more than people who actually help our society.

  4. The documentary is hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas, an illegal immigrant and amnesty activist who has worked for the Washington Post and the Huffington Post.

I wonder if he could get a visa or if he prefers to remain illegal because it's more edgy.

He was brought to America as a 14 year old and has lived here ever since. He's now 34. Unfortunately getting a visa is not as simple as you make it seem. He can't just apply for one while inside the country illegally for so long. His only real shot of being able to stay legally if he initiates the proceedings is for him to willingly start the deportation process and apply for a relief called "Cancellation of Removal." He would have to show a judge that he had been living continuously in America for at least 10 years and that his deportation would cause "exceptional and extremely unusual hardship" to one of his US citizen family members. Then he would have to prove his "good moral character" and convince a judge he deserves to stay and satisfy that individual judge's own subjective criteria and discretion. Otherwise he would have to leave and apply for legal entry into his own country and get put in the back of the line. Or he can continue to live illegally in the country he calls home and hope some kind of amnesty occurs so he doesn't have to risk not being allowed into the country he's supported and called home for the last 20 years. Do you see why he's not rushing to risk being kicked out of his home?
  5. Just seen someone post this on facebook the other day. I don't watch MTV anymore, but just when you thought MTV couldn't get any worse, they come out with shit like this. This whole "white guilt" and "white privilege" subject is getting beyond ridiculous.

    http://www.infowars.com/new-mtv-show-publicly-shames-white-people-for-what-theyve-done-in-america/

The trailer in the article makes the show not seem as ridiculous as the article itself makes the show seem.

  6. If we had easier immigration system not only would these people be paying their share it would also make detecting the bad guys a lot easier. If good guys were allowed to come in by just signing up and being background checked and put into the system then we'd know that anyone who is hiding from authorities must be a bad guy. As it is now a lot of citizens in our country are opposed to scooping up every illegal immigrant because they recognize the vast majority of illegals have done nothing wrong except for entering the country to try to better their lives. So they feel picking up those people and deporting them is not worth the time and effort. Nor money. We'd be spending vast amounts of money to remove people who are contributing to society on the hope we also get those who aren't. But if the people who contribute were allowed to come legally it would make determining who the bad guys are a lot simpler.

  7. I do. Socialism in itself isn't immoral as long as it follows the natural law precept of allowing for ownership. So, when something's not intrinsically evil, you examine it and see if it accomplishes your goals.

Ayn Rand followers think capitalism intrinsically good and socialism intrinsically evil, based upon nothing, since they're atheists also.

Socialists see collective ownership as the end of a historical process. Practically, they think it's always good, but it's hard to say if they think that philosophically.

A good saying I follow is that when asked if something is the job of government, the libertarian says "no," the socialist says "yes," and the conservative says, "well, I don't think so."

The kind of socialism practiced in the US and the Western world, devoid of any moral standards of behavior, actually encourage behavior detrimental to the poor, like fatherlessness, family break up, indolence, etc.

So, if this is relevant, everybody in my family has always worked and have had intact families. We've also used public schools, police departments, etc. We've worked for the government. Almost everybody except for the rich are takers in some ways, although it seems to work out OK.

Your ****ing posts are getting harder and harder to read.

  8. There was a game against Texas a couple years ago where the Angels scored like 7 runs in the 9th mounting a huge comeback and Howie came up with the tying run at 3rd. He proceeds to hit the weakest ground ball to the 2nd baseman and ends the game just short of an epic comeback that would have been a top Angels moment. Felt like that was exactly how every Kendrick story ends

September 11th, 2012. We went into the bottom of the 9th in a game against the A's down 6-3. They brought in Grant Balfour who proceeded to meltdown epically. No outs, two runs in and the tying run standing at third they take out Balfour and bring in Blevins. Kendrys strikes out for the first out. Kendrick is up. I'm just praying that he strikes out. But he doesn't. This piece of shit reaches for a pitch on the outer half and gives it the old Pujols special, trying to pull it instead of going with the pitch. Hits a 2 hopper right to Donaldson and the A's turn the easy double play to win the game.

    Never liked him after that.
