When is the parade?

Verge in this sense likely means we've had discussions and laid ground work. Since the meetings are over, teams will probably take the weekend off with their families and return on Monday and both teams will do their HW, and they'll pull the trigger on Tuesday, and fans and media will learn about it on Wednesday.
This was silly to think GMs and agents would take a weekend off, much less 3+ days, in the middle of hot stove season.

This is a terrific acquisition. This guy has been pretty steady and hasn’t been bouncing around from club to club. Not a lot of miles either. The overall construction of the club is getting better everyday. Kudos to Eppy.
Define "pretty steady"

Here's hoping he can produce at least 80% of what he did last year.

Wait, Padres and Angels were Cozarts only options? They should totally lowball him now that it looks like Padres are out.

For anyone who truly believes he's a top 5 position player, I would love for you to post your top 10. Yes, you can even factor in age.

To be fair, Machado's road OPS was over .800 in 2015 and 2016. There is some up and down with his career road numbers though.
And it was an ugly .666 last year.

What are your thoughts on Simmons?
I don't know what Simmons has to do with valuing Machado. He's not ever going to command the type of contract Machado will and no one has or will claim him to be a top 5 player.

My oh my, Manny me boy is one of the top 5 players in the Game.
Top 5 in all of baseball? Lol, he barely makes my top 5 for 3b. I'll take Arenado, Byrant, and Ramirez all before him. Outside of 3b there's like another 15-20 position players ahead of him as well. A top 5 player doesn't have a career ops of .754 on the road and what happens to his ops when he's not playing half his games in a band box?
Valbuena was a better offensive player on the road last year than Machado.

I think he's the most overrated player in the game. At least offensively.

Doesn't a player's AAV salary reset to the remainder of the contract once he's traded?

Has anybody parts said that Albert is going to be strictly a DH from here on out?
Yes, his knees and feet.

What's the fascination with Chatwood? He kinda sucks.

No way Machado and Harper avg 35 and 40 million respectively. More like 25 and 30

BR has him listed as 6'3"

Gordon, because he comes with PEDs. Hopefully he knows how to share.

Disappointed the cameras didn't really show any sad/crying Dog fans.

I hope this backfires so hard....

Good question. It would definitely suck if that scenario played out.

Including the streak, the Indians are 48-12 in their last 60 games. That's a third of the season playing .800 ball. I dont know that I have ever seen a team play .800 ball for 60 games. They had a six game winning streak at the start of this period. I do remember the 84 Tigers playing .875 ball for 40 games. They started the season 35-5. Maybe the 2000 Yankees had a stretch like this.
Have you seriously not been paying attention? The dodgers had a more impressive run than the Indians that just came to an end a month ago. From June 7th - August 22nd they were 54-10 .844
Let’s go get Arrieta
