  1. Trade Lincecum for A-Rod. Then A-Rod could get to his 700th home run against Lincecum in a couple weeks for us.
  2. Sucks. Way better than Mathis' 2nd biggest fan (Lyle Spencer).
  3. I think we could maybe pull a couple of little leaguers.
  4. Today could be the day we see a position player pitch.
  5. I'd leave him out there right now though, this game is over.
  6. I doubt he'd accept a trade. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire if the Angels and Dodgers don't want him next year. Weaver's a SoCal guy, his Dad attends all of his home starts, and he left 30-50 million (or maybe more) on the table to sign an extension. I'd give Weaver a one year incentive laden deal for 2017, worth a shot if it's cheap and if he'd be open to long relief/spot starting.
  7. F'n Dipoto. Go Trumbo. I have Trumboner.
  8. I don't fault the Angels for giving him a shot. Guys like Kazmir and Colon who looked like they were toast made comebacks and ended up being just as good as they were before.
  9. Yeah I don't get the complaints. Lackey's an asshole but he's a winner, and still has his stuff. He was the top pitcher during our greatest run in franchise history in the 2000's.
  10. Yep. 3.50 ERA, I'd take him over anybody on our current starting rotation.
  11. Eppler will sign Lackey and K-Rod in the offseason for 2017 to revive the well.
  12. If you can get solid prospects, I'd trade Escobar, Street, and Smith. What sucks is we don't really have many valuable pieces to deal since the team is so awful, those three are about it. Obviously you can't trade Trout, and I think Calhoun is another guy to build around. Maybe Shoemaker, but I feel like he would net more in in offseason deal if he can finish with some strong numbers, or he also might be someone to keep if he's truly figured it out. Santiago I also feel like we should wait, you don't want to sell low on a starting pitcher. Hopefully Lincecum can bounce back from his last start, if so he's a guy to deal at the deadline.
  13. I like how Lincecum works fast, not much time between pitches. The anti-Jon Garland.
  14. 9 IP 0 H 27 K's 1 Mike Scioscia Boner
  15. Shoemaker frustrates me more because we can't get the guy wins. Trout is the primary reason to still watch the team, so maybe I take him for granted.
  16. Is it bad that this is literally the only Angels related thing I'm looking forward to?
  17. I'll also say this year has been the toughest to follow what scrubs we have coming up and down from the minors. In the past I'd heard of most of the names on here, but now I'll turn on a game and be like who the fuck is that. Just shows what a terrible farm system we now have. I knew we were in trouble when Ji Man Choi made the opening day roster.
  18. They're so bad they're not even worth bitching about. They're boring bad too, there's nobody like Mathis to poke fun at, and I've given up on the Fat Man being fired. I still watch but I'm much more inclined to turn the channel now to watch Fox News' daily election coverage (some of the most entertaining television of all time) if we go down early. My job is also working on my computer, so their poor play has helped me focus on work when I watch. I've been to a couple games and will definitely go to some more this year, but it's tough to get any friends to want to go when the team is this bad.
  19. They could not solve Shoemaker, he had complete game shutout type stuff all night. My friend was even joking that he must have been on Adderall he was in such a zone.
  20. The Fat Man for pulling Shoemaker. I was sitting near the dugout and I booed his ass the second he walked out to pull him.
