  1. Dipoto went completely against his doctrine with Aybar and Kendrick. He stated that "He who controls the count, controls the game". This was his offensive and defensive philosophy. Then he extends two of the biggest hackers in the game in Fubar and DP 47. Then he signed Hamilton. He gave the boss one vision, and delivered another. Dipoto is a failure.
  2. He said this morning.........unless the Halos can rattle off 8 of 10 moving forward, he doesn't see much hope. Hey Travis, they already did that and proceeded to crap the bed all the way back to 10 games under 500. As long as he has his Traverse paid for on the Halos dime, he will continue to tow the company line. He argued the worth of Mike Soso with a caller, even though he agreed everything on the field has been bad from top to bottom. So Travis, results don't connect at all to the general on the battle field?
  3. Hamilton homers and then gives it right back. This season in a nutshell.
  4. "I will clean your pipes faster than I cleaned Dipoto out of 13 million".
  5. Butcher sleeps like a baby, and so should his pitchers.
  6. Mike THINKS there is a sense of urgency, not that he is going to confront the player about it or anything.
  7. "Joe understands it's a proving ground every day you're in the major leagues," Manager Mike Scioscia said. "He doesn't have his head buried in the sand. He works very hard at keeping himself in shape, trying to be the consistent pitcher we know is in there. I think there is a sense of urgency to what he wants to do." Blanton says: "I've been doing this for a long time," he said. "Why should I feel urgency now?" This a man who is just happy to get paid. This language deserves a release. Of course it won't happen. Horrible signing Mr Dipoto, and this board knew it from the MOMENT YOU MADE IT.
  8. We should allow him to wear his Dominicana WBC uniform. Where is THAT player?
  9. Mike ate at least one horrible ump over the last 10 days.
  10. I tip my cap to the Astros and Cubs, and I can't be fired. I am about to eat this ump whole like he's an Olive Garden breadstick.
  11. The new musical opens in Boston on Friday. What crazy circus tricks will Erick entertain us with this year? The failed squeeze play in 08 was great, and the fantastic swatting at flies followed by getting hit in the nards was epic a few years ago. Excitement awaits from our epic lead off hitter.
  12. The 2 home run game by Naps the Ranger on the last game of the season at Angels Stadium in 2011 hurt like a you know what.
  13. 2008 will haunt me forever. The best team we ever had. 100 wins, and Mike goes runny ball, after a lead off double by Morales. Then the 10 year extension followed. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Burnett going down again is BAD news. The guy is lights out. Now he is turning into Kelvim Escobar.
  15. I am watching the MLB TV Royals feed for the game that ended today. Wow, these guys are bad. It's amazing how I could be comfortable with their homerisms when they were cheerleading for the Angels. It is painful to listen to, now that I have been listening to Rojas and co. I know exactly why the Halos made a change. Hudler was acting like Hawk Harrelson today, and even tried to will a deep fly ball to be hit over the wall ala The Hawk. Physioc was pretty bad with the Halos, with his canned and obvious chatter that any fan would know already, so he was no shock to listen to, but Hud was unlistenable. A real eye opener. We are lucky to have Victor Rojas. His knowledge, candor, and honesty in the face of team struggles is refreshing. He is a true talent. Love the guy.
  16. The fact Mike put Aybar in that spot right off the DL was insane to begin with. I would put shuck in the spot, then ease peter back into it.
  17. Shuck has been a pleasant surprise. Peter could net us some pitching.
  18. We expected Howie to be the messiah, and he showed up a few years later from Millville. I still get the feeling Howie is one adjustment away from superstar numbers. That is the reason so many get frustrated.
  19. When he signed with Boras, he lost my attention. I knew then it was only a matter of time. The applause was fine for him. Remember, we need a Make Noise lighted banner to remind us we have a pulse. I am comfortable stating that we have the most withdrawn and anti vocal fan base in the game. It is what it is. At least we show up.
  20. Richards has been dicked around so much, he is back to sucking.
  21. Aybar will always be the goat. The man could lead the majors in everything for all I care. He would be the guy who drops the pop fly to lose game 7 of the World Series. He will be a part of heartbreak eventually.
  22. Aybar could have been on the dl for 4 months and Mike would insert him at lead off, after 1 rehab game in the minors.
