Future 3rd baseman. We have been waiting for the coming of our future 3rd baseman for 9 years. Cowart shows less promise then Wood (a shortstop at one time I know), and Mcpherson did (he is the same age as Pujols and is still a prospect). Sell high. They are prospects for a reason. Trading Kotchman started the ball rolling, that eventually landed us Trout (6 degrees...lol).

Too bad AL teams rotate the DH so much more now. CJ Cron is a monster year from our meal ticket towards a good trade. I have accepted the fact the Angels will never have a power hitting 3rd baseman again. Why not trade Cowart and Cron for a legit starter?

Would we really take that bad of a step back offensively and defensively letting the kids play, and trading this combo plus throw in Vargus to a team in need? Their contracts are manageable, and if we could get a legit starter in return I would just let Jimenez play 2nd, and Harris/Romine battle it out for shortstop. I have no idea what good starters are out there. Just a thought.

The 3 Spot is where the man has been the best at his craft. Case closed. Sandwich him between Trout and Pujols. Are they going to walk Trout to get to Hamilton? It would be conceding a double. If Hamilton finds a way to get on, then Pujols is driving them in instead of being intentionally walked.

Pessimism is a defense mechanism against getting hurt. By staying positive, you risk falling that much harder. I am guilty of this after the last few years. This weekend was a refresher course in not having a clue when it comes to these guys and their potential. I need to realize it is just a game, and start enjoying it for what it is, entertainment. My expectations remain high, and my passion deep.....I just need to dip my feet a bit into optimism. It is better for the soul, and for this online community.

Trumbo is our Mauer. The one guy who was born and raised in our backyard as a true Halo fan from birth. Nothing would pain me more as an Angels fan than seeing him not have a long and fruitful career. I hope he becomes a Tim Salmon, and not a Russell Branyon. The speed of the ball off his bat is a thing of beauty. My favorite current Halo by far. And his actually likes real organic guitar based music (not that I am a Thrice fan, but they are uber talented). I love Trout, but Trumbo is the one I get most excited about. Trumbo is already playing for his dream team.

Pujols must get really pissed being intentionally walked, and not pulled for a pinch runner.
