  1. As long as I can keep Aybar leading off and Calhoun on the bench we got this.
  2. Pujols is leading this team finally. Not with stats, but with energy.
  3. He has a completely different delivery than years past. I was the last guy to trust Jepsen this year. The man has simply been the co pitching mvp along with Richards and Smith. Butcher has shocked me with Jepsen. Butcher has tinkered unsuccessfully with a number of pitcher's deliveries, but this one worked. Mind Blown Jepsen is FOR REAL
  4. Iannetta changed the entire dynamic of this game. Can't stand him. He lacks confidence. The pitchers don't care for him.
  5. Last time I checked Roth wasn't able to get anyone out up here. Bad comparison.
  6. Hoffman changed speeds very very well. Quisenberry kept everything down. I agree that there is not one Santiago pitch that hitters cannot touch. I keep hearing about the screwball he throws. Morin's change up is a thing of beauty ala Hoffman maybe?
  7. Walden threw 100. Control issues. I get it. I still think Santiago is craftier then Fuentes or Walden, with many out pitches.
  8. Krod walked tons of batters. It is not ideal. I love Smith's control.
  9. Santiago. His stuff is legit. He misses bats. He has the velocity Mike wants. He is effectively wild for a limited amount of time. It could be a massive shot in the arm. You cannot tell me that while Shoemaker is pitching over his head (almost ace like right now) he is every bit an effective starter moving forward. Santiago's personality would be perfect for the closer role as well. Thoughts? I just have a sense he could be one of best closers in baseball. I remember them saying that if Santiago did not work out for us as a starter, at the very least he would be a lights out reliever. We have a bridge to the 9th currently.
  10. I wouldn't throw Ibanez off the turnip truck over these guys. IF I WERE A LADY (EDITED).
  11. The sample size is much larger than just this year. I am not comparing Conger to Iannetta. They are both flawed, and lacking in fundamentals. Our radio crew points it out on a game by game basis. This is on Mike as well. Torrealba was no solution, but giving him only a few bats in spring training just showed how clueless this team is with the catching situation.
  12. Everyone needs to calm down and give the crafty veteran a chance to show what a talented hitter he is in the second half. Signed Eduardo Alfonso Steve Finley Shea Hillenbrand Vernon Wells
  13. This was light heated and very funny. Not everything has to be "Napolean Dynamite" or "The Office" quirky to make you belly laugh.
  14. Joe Smith was UNAVAILABLE because it was 4-3 Astros instead of 4-3 Halos? The worst manager in the game is the one getting out coached by Bo Porter. Iannetta is behind many of these losses as well. He is a horrible defensive catcher and pitch caller. Whenever he is starting regularly, we are losing.
  15. Butchie has reinvented them. He has a zero tolerance for 1st pitch strikes.
  16. I love how Kohn has been playing with pixy dust the last 2 weeks. He can't throw a strike to save his life. I wonder how long it is going to take batters to simply keep their bats on their shoulders and stop swinging.
  17. This was a season altering pitching failure by Richards in my opinion. A huge step back. Not making it out of the first inning is PATHETIC for a guy with his stuff.
  18. Richards just lost any chance at the All Star Game.
  19. The A's could put Jack Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, or a 2014 Randy Johnson in there and Pujols would pull a pitch to 3rd.
  20. The only nice thing to see is Green vs Callaspo. Thanks Dipoto. Now send Green down to AAA.
