I lost a bet. I bet my wife Bauer would get mentioned in this thread by the 5th inning.
He was mentioned before the 5th….so you actually won
You’re welcome

MLB.tv for the win!

I’m watching on my Directv app from work. Zero issues.
Wish it worked for me, but I have constant problems with their streaming service at my house

So glad I didn’t pay for a new streaming service to watch games. DIRECTV and Fubo suck. Staying with YouTubeTv. Previous years I would pay more for the crappy signal and UI so I could watch games. No reason to do that with this dogshit rotation and lack of motivation in our geriatric owner that doesn’t care about winning. Saving me money…..and the pain of actually watching.

Make it stop! Please!

Why is he still pitching?

Great attitude Arte. Wonderful. That means as long as he is an owner he won’t take a risk on a top player because of Rendon? Wow
Didn’t think I could hate him any more than I already did.
such a tool.

I’d be down. Low risk, high potential reward. If he sucks, cut him. If he ends up being a cancer, cut him.
but the dude has purpose now. Focus. Intention. Give him an incentive laden deal and I’d bet he buckles down and handles business. He’s trying to repair his reputation after getting dragged, and convicted by mannered who hated him for exposing the sticky stuff issue.
after watching his blogs about Japan, I do think he has been humbled a bit. And he knows so much about baseball and pitching.
add all of this together and the potential is great, and the risk is league minimum
and for all the PC Nightmare worries, we are already the laughing stock of the league, have been for years now. Wasting one generational talent and letting the other walk to the other side of town. There is no reputation to trash.
Id love to see us pick him up.
but alas, our owner is garbage

Yep. I used to love traveling for work. Now that I'm in my 50's I hate it and thankfully I don't have to travel much (1-2 times a year) and I work from home. I love it.
Totally. Traveling is a young man’s game. I used to travel 25-40 weeks a year for 15 years. Most internationally. I loved it.
but once I became a father it started to destroy me.
Once I got into a new job with minimal travel, I realized how brutal it is. Just those 5-6 trip a year domestically would ruin me lol.
and I’m not 50 yet lol…couple more months before AARP gets their mitts on me
I bet the guys are just fine working remotely

Not sure who I pissed off but today licks balls. Catch Covid, a bad case, now I’ll be alone for the holidays and miss my son who’s home from college, plus yourmommamoto goes to the freaking Doyers and I’ll have to hear it all year from my dad and brother.
bah humbug

At least with the shorter pitch count the misery will be shorter

No, the present value counts for the next 10 years. Once they start paying him the $68M/year in deferred money, it's just a real cash expense and doesn't count against the luxury tax (if there even is one at that point).
Man. Maybe baseball needs a salary cap after all . What’s the point in a luxury tax if you can skirt it and only get dinged for 65% of what you pay someone?

That’s ridiculous is they don’t have to deal with luxury tax issues.
