What? When did Trout enter the conversation? Yes, obviously it will be nice to get Trout back. I don't see that group overall (Drury, Rendon, Trout, O'Hoppe) creating any "magic" unless it's because Trout was the magic.

"Offloading" a player like I stated would typically suggest that you're getting almost nothing back. Some team might take a flier on him for bench depth/4th OF for a low level nothing prospect. Which would be totally fine with just about any of our fans I think.

Yeah, can't trade him now. If Trout has to miss an extra couple weeks and come back like mid-Aug then we'd be rolling with something like Adell/Rengifo in RF for the time being which sounds pretty sad. At least Renfroe has a cannon.

It's crazy when you think about how bad he's been at driving in runs but you look and he still has 42 RBI's because he's just had sooo many opportunities... I feel like he's been up with the bases juiced more than anyone else in the lineup.

Renfroe is one of those players that gets overrated by fans because of the counting stats he puts up. I think Minasian knew what kind of player he was getting in Renfroe, but yeah, holy shit he's been bad. If Trout wasn't hurt right now then it would be a pretty easy decision to offload him at the deadline I would think.

Magical is a good word to use there. Because what I wonder is why so many people are hanging their hopes on Brandon Drury ffs. I'm with Victor Rojas here - that's not a guy you look at and go "man, when Drury is back, this team can really make a push." Rendon? I hope they dump his contract in the offseason. He's been league average to below at the plate for the past three injury fucked seasons. O'Hoppe, yeah he looks like a good young player. He has hardly any major league time under his belt though and this board worships him like he's Yogi Berra.

TLDR No reason to overanalyze the schedule. This team is inconsistent vs. all teams good and bad. Win 2 out of 3 on average every series for the rest of the season to pass a shitload of teams in the standings. Keep it simple.
