  1. First off I'd like to say that Minasian absolutely fleeced the Phillies in that deal to get Moniak. So I don't feel it's a good comp for future trades. Syndergaard was very fringe to awful with the Angels last year, so I'm not sure what the Phillies saw in him to give up Moniak. Syndergaard did nothing last year. Adell should be worth a SP with at least a year of control.
  2. Gimme more attention bb love it. You're really special for bumping this.
  3. Whether or not he re-signs Ohtani could tell a lot about how much Arte really loves the Angels. Like you said, no matter what, he will profit billions when he sells. When you really think about it, if we're in Arte's last 5 years, why would he NOT try to re-sign Ohtani and instead worry about what that could cause the state of the organization to be in a decade from now long after he's been owner? It actually makes no sense.
  4. Dude... what?? Be nice... Adell has a lot more trade value than this.
  5. He could give Ohtani 700 million, sell the franchise for 3 billion, and live comfortably. That would totally redeem his legacy.
  6. I rarely see anyone agree with you. Just Stradling. You're way off-base.
  7. Is Candelario a catcher? Someone who actually posts here and works in the front office in their head says we're trading for another catcher on the heels of O'Hoppe's return.
  8. I wasn't surprised when he did nothing upon returning. They literally rushed him back so fast. Long before he was going to be ready if so. After hearing about neurological conditions for the past year plus it's really not surprising he lost his hand-eye coordination.
  9. Wallach is soon to be the back-up to the back-up. Get real or get lost. Or just stay focused on the hitting of a second-string catcher.
  10. Funny. Sounds like something you would write after pretty much getting your opinions wrecked earlier.
  11. I love being able to jump back into this topic the same day and see how basically I was right and the legends here aka Blarg and Stradling got totally shown up.
  12. Evidently you were wrong like most of the time.
  13. Hmm, Perry Minasian thought we did.
  14. Yep, and they realized there's so much catching depth in this org to get it done so they did? Maybe you don't know much. Every fan knows we need more pitching, so you didn't hit anything on the head.
  15. So some people think the team should trade for offensive improvement, when the offense is already a powerhouse in their mind. Oh, and grab like 3 pitchers too. Take out the Colorado game and this team has a negative run differential. So we really gotta improve on our catching position that has overperformed offensively this season compared to the last 2 decades of Angels catching. Got it.
  16. Did you ace calculus in high school? I'm so much fucking brighter than you, Blarg, that the sun would be impressed.
  17. How they doing in OPS with runners on base bright guy? OPS with the bases empty doesn't score many runs.
  18. You're banking on this September catcher injury and I gotta say, it's kinda awkward. Dude, if shit hits the fan, I'm a million times more fine with Okey over Wallach/Thaiss (I mean, both suck defensively anyway) than I am with Velazquez over Neto. What if Neto gets injured again? Trade for a shortstop. You play out the rest of the season from this point assuming no one will get injured and you fill the biggest needs from there. Catcher ain't one of them. Pitching, pitching, pitching. Wanna really play it safe? Trade for Goldschmidt and get Cabbage off the roster since he doesn't belong here.
  19. I didn't compare Trout to Wallach. Just pointing out how I think your brain works.
  20. Don't rely on yourself to propose a package for this though. Just agree with whatever Second Base comes up with and if anyone disagrees with you then they are just wrong.
  21. Yeah and keep pretending that Wallach had another 6 week stretch this season without a hit. Do you know what he was hitting before that? Well over .200? With 6 homers? You're worried about a 2nd string catcher that isn't hitting when the whole lineup has been generally bad at hitting for large stretches of time this season. The whole entire offense has a terrible approach with RISP and you're sitting there worried about hitting at the catching position. I'm sure you wanted Trout traded after his 0-26 last year, didn't ya.
