It sure sounded like it was Rutledge's job to lose from both Tim Mead and Jerry Dipoto in ST last weekend. I sure hope Scioscia/Dipoto give it to the guy who earns it. I haven't seen anything I've liked from Rutledge thus far in ST. Unfortunately Green hasn't stepped up either. Oh well.

Rucinski, WOW! This kid is a bulldog on the mound. I love his style. Good fastball, great splitter/change and slider. Damn, this kid needs to crack the rotation somehow. Really impressed with Carlos Perez pitch framing as well.

There were more question marks going into last season. We finished with 98 wins.

MT, you need to watch the Dipoto interview. Point is, the Angels are not 10 games better, nor are they 10 games worse than the 2014 club. Remember, this team could have easily won more than 98 games if it wasn't for injuries to the staff down the stretch and being completely void of a productive LF and DH for most of the season. The bullpen is solid and we have better pitching depth. I'm not counting on getting anything from Josh Hamilton, but I do believe our LF production (Joyce and Cowgill in a platoon) and Cron as the full-time DH will improve the over offense. Howie was good offensively, but he wasn't a juggernaut.

He was hitting 94-95 MPH with his fastball the past two starts. Just saying. It was always his secondary stuff that appealed to scouts, so look out.

Your face ruined the night. But yeah, the food gave me the shits, the Margarita was awful, the service sucked and the room was either an ice box or a sweat box. Other than that, the company was great! Thanks for reserving the room Strads. We learned to stick to brunch there, not dinner.

First off, this was the best one to date. I know I say that every spring, after every event, but our Fanfest events continue to get better every year. For those who were not able to attend, tons of pics and video to come. Real quick, as we will have a Blog post to cover everything, we had Don Baylor speak and hold a Q&A for the fans, Jerry Dipoto speak for an hour, and field questions from the audience, a roundtable media session with Jeff Fletcher, Mike DiGiovanna and Alden Gonzalez, with prospects Sherman Johnson, Alex Yarbrough and Jordan Piche attend. We raised over $2000 with raffle prizes for the OC Miracle League. My favorite part of the night (more later). Had a great time hanging with friends and members of the website and meeting, hanging with new friends. Please let us know how you liked the event and your favorite highlights.
