  1. That's a good idea. I didn't realize it, but I pretty much use FB the same way. Keep in touch with family, but mainly use the news feed for info and products I'm interested in.
  2. Angel Talk Jason uses it a lot for the show and tried to get me using it within the past year. We had some fun with inside jokes with other friends, but I realized a long time ago no one really gives a shit about what we have to say or our social commentary. Although, the Angel Talk tweets we would see are pretty awesome.
  3. I've never used it except when poker was serious and around the world series of poker.....players would update their chip stacks, key hands, and info a lot better than poker sites. But then these same poker players decided to chime in on social issues and other things nonpoker and as quick as I followed the tournament I quickly stopped using it. I never knew how to post, retweet, or any of the other communication efforts anyway. It took me the longest time to figure out people wrote me back directly using my @ dealio. Someone summed it up here many years back when it was taking off, it's the annoying part of Facebook.
  4. It's listed ad a Michael Jordan quote, as well.
  5. Way to voluntarily downgrade yourself into the lower echelon of society.
  6. Nothing like everyone watching the same exact thing and tweeting the same exact thing. I'll never understand the armchair play by play social media peeps.
  7. Go Heady Topper if you have the recipe and materials. That would be pretty sick if your second batch was something completely amazing.
  8. The age signs for alcohol and tobacco trip me out. The kids that are 18 and old enough to buy smokes were born in '95
  9. Yes, my generation, now in our 30s, that started the whole bro and bro ho thing around 1998 are all grown up age wise, but still not maturity wise.
  10. Yep....well kind of. Jason and Jim are doing a filler/concept show. It goes over all sports, not just baseball. At the moment it was yesterday and tomorrow from 7-9pm, but I think next week it's 7-9pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday....I.could be wrong but think Jason said he would be there Monday. I guess they want to try a host and athlete show. Heard a bit last night and it was cool. I'm sure it was set up well in advance, but their guests were cool and notable. They took callers too. The name doesn't make sense as they call it Inside The Numbers, or something like that, as it's more of a round table gig opposed to the Inside The Numbers on ESPN which is stats and analytics....if that show is even still around.
  11. Good thing the Chiefs will play them in a neutral field.
  12. bomb diggity. I never do the turkey, but am around with a cocktail. Do outdoors and put cardboard down on the concrete. The biggest thing is the thermometer being accurate on the fryer. Every year it seems to be a guessing game between that and a regular thermometer....surprised it hasn't been butchered yet. Pretty straight forward after the prep. Just stand around with a drink in your hand making sure it doesn't boil over and listening for who slurs first from the booze.
  13. yeah, form is beyond important. was a little off on the bench initially and tweaked my wrist. had a kool aid protein shake though and am dandy.
  14. naw, for once I'm not trolling. http://am830.net/shows/travisrodgers.php I met up with Jason Brennan yesterday at the stadium before he went on the air. I was killing time and wanted to check out the new program with him and Jim Leyritz. They were playing the same clip and I think Roger Lodge said it would be replayed at 7:45am today. I've never been on their site, but I think that's the link and it's under 11-19-2013. It just sounded like it was a good interview if two other hosts are talking about it on their shows as well.
  15. I heard a clip or two and I think the other shows talked about it. One question from a clip was if he ever expected to fire anyone during the season and he mentioned evaluating everything at all times but looking in the mirror. Then he kind of went on a properly done rant about armchair QBs that wanted to fire everyone. Now that I think about it, besides it being reaired at 7:45, I think it's on the am830 website.
  16. He was on am830 yesterday and I think they are going to play the clip again now on the station.
  17. Cali has become one of my favorite posters here. I forget the other idea he had that was as good as building a large rocket.
  18. let it go gents. he's been on a downward spiral since he embarrassed himself a few months back.
