  1. Hope Ohtani has his control issues worked out. May not get many innings out of him. His pitch count today is likely Very limited.
  2. Good thing we limited ourselves to one run last inning. Who needs more than one right?!?
  3. I like to bet and I’m good at it. I hope I’m wrong this time. But I’d hit the A’s hard in tonight’s game. Again, really hope I’m wrong on this one.
  4. If i were them, i'd like to see what he looks like outside of Fenway, in the NL, etc. before giving him a Trout-like contract. Of course, CV happened and now they need to act before he's a FA. They have the money to burn. They also have the future payroll flexibility too with all the young studs on cheap contracts (& more coming). Still a few years away, but dang those contracts to Bellinger / Buelher (health permitted) are going to be HUGE.
  5. This kind of sounds like "Hey someone agrees with my opinion, so it's fresh thoughts and good discussion". LOL. I'm probably wrong.....but that's just how it sounded to me. So i thought it was funny. Likely you didn't mean it that way though. BTW, i'm neither Republican or Democrat (more a Libertarian than anything else -- so i disagree with 99% of the political party systems/people here in the U.S.).
  6. This thread is basically the first i heard about any comments about kneeling last night, political responses, name calling, etc. You see, care and react how you want to based on your own preconceived notions. Then again, i'm not on twitter -- so maybe that's why. Personally, it doesn't bother me either way. It's America -- land of the free (for the good or bad). That's what makes the Nation great....always has. I just don't understand why people continue to waste their precious time & energy getting all riled up either way. Chill out and enjoy the short time we have.
  7. Well that blows even more. Can't wait for POTUS Kanye to get into Office and fix all these problems
  8. guess i need to dump YouTube TV and find another provider to watch the games. Was holding out until there was actually something to watch (MLB, Hockey) on FSW. Hulu TV may be the answer but dang them for not having AMC.
  9. Beginning of season is always the best -- hopeful and optimistic. If healthy....we can do great things. My heart says we could hit 33+ wins if all goes well and we make the playoffs. Once there, anything can happen. But reality is, we don't have much depth and we're relying upon several guys to stay healthy and/or have bounce back years. Our SP especially is held together by tape. You can't objectively look at our SP right now and be very confident. With Trout gone for 5-7+ days, the uncertainty with our SP, limited depth, etc. -- i see about 24 wins. The good news with that is we'd get another good draft pick next year
  10. Dipoto salivating right now. Gather his scouts together for emergency meeting to come up with a big enough proposal to get him. Heard saying, I told you so. fist pump incoming
  11. I actually did think the topic said fart noise - now I’ve completely lost interest in the thread
  12. I can’t wait for the opening day lineup thread when ppl see Pujols in the 5th spot behind Rendon. That’s gonna be good entertainment
  13. I've done the math -- I believe the answer is 0.3274
  14. Surprisingly, he's the only Rodriguez we have in the system. How is that possible?!? Regardless, that could make things much easier for us going forward. Scratch that -- forgot about Jose. Eppler might need to do something about that.
  15. I understand your point - and mostly agree. But just pointing out that my phone auto changes it to Crod for some reason no matter what I do. And I usually am posting during meetings and can’t fix. I also have bigger worries. But I’ll try harder going forward
  16. Glass half-full: Crod & Detmers are ready at early part of 2021 season to be middle of the rotation (& rising) SPs. With potential of one getting some spot time during the 2020 season. Glass half-empty: no need to go there as we know this all too well.
  17. I don't understand something. If the whole league will not be spending much for FAs this offseason due to CV and revenue issue, then where is Simmons getting this money to go elsewhere? Seems to me the CV issue may make it more likely that Simmons returns since there will be less options (offers/money) now available and returning to his team for the past several years makes the most sense. Whereas before, we'd maybe need to make a 4-5+ year offer, now you could envision 2-3 years (& less per/year money) since there won't be big money offers coming for much or any FAs this offseason. If that's the theory for FAs, then returning where he is familiar, has a good relationship, team has a need for next couple years, etc. is more of a possibility now. But maybe that's an obvious concept...to most.
  18. I’m not sure I’m buying what those articles are selling. It just doesn’t make any sense logically to me. Sure inside and close is the worst for spreading. But outside and super close is bad on its own too. The argument that the protests kept non-protesters at home and isolated- thus keeping the spread low is just ridiculous agenda speak. It’s like saying I cheated on you because I love you so much (that doesn’t work). You can be pro anti-racism and still see that there’s a problem and negative consequence to the close gather protest. It’s not either/or.
