Bundy extend if you can. Keep Trout, Walsh, Ohtani and whatever low cost rookies / prospects. Otherwise...whatever...

They won’t really bring back what you think they’ll bring back. These will be three month rentals. And as far as position players, here’s the list, tell me who you’d trade. Suzuki is an an opus yes. Iglesias is an obvious yes. Walsh? Fletcher?
Ironically, it's out pitchers that could bring in some good returns if the Angels have to sell. If we can't sign them to extensions, we have some valuable pieces for team looking for pitching rentals: Bundy, Heaney, Q (lol, j/k), Cobb and Raisel Iglesias.
Preferably, imo, we extend Bundy.
Then again, this team and organization is miles away and a complete mess up & down. Beyond true homer fans, does 2022+ look to be any different? There's so many holes to fill for 2022...on a team that currently sucks. It's not like there's a ton of sure-fire prospects waiting to hit the grown running either. A complete tear down makes more sense than anything else. Every year i hear the same from most on AW that things will be different. Nope. The future doesn't look that much better than the current/past. They need to burn it down and rebuild...slash-and-burn.

I like watching paint dry, that’s why I’m an Angels fan
It's more like watching paint peel off your wall.

Bruin?

If anything, Trout should be happy about this -- makes the team better. If i were him, i'd be pissed every time AP was entered in the lineup the past few years.

This ends what was the worst Angels signing in history -- which is saying ALOT

Nobody was killed though. Gotta take the W's where you can find them.
lol i guess so -- just a flesh wound.
Seriously though, the last 10 years of Angels BB has turned me into such a cynical, negative fan. I used to be annoyingly positive. Every prospect could potentially be great and the next Frank Tanana, Wally Joyner, Finley, Salmon, etc. Horrible season -- doesn't matter because the next season we start in 1st place and it'll be our year. Maybe we had too much success during the 2002-2009 period and it's ruined things lol.

Aaron Hernadez with 5 BBs in 3.2 innings -- oh yeah, he'll fit right in.

That's a bit what i was referring to about the disappointing state of our farm system after 5 years of Eppler -- AA team (where typically the meat of your truly good, young prospects are at) has a very exciting SP along with a lineup of ham sandwiches in the field. We need some quick advancement of the guys down at A and AZ development.

Bad luck for one inning

I know that rankings are to be taken with a grain of salt and more entertainment than anything else. Also, the Angels have a lot of very young guys that haven't had the chance to make their mark nationally due to the shut-downs. But dang, i have to admit that it's incredibly disappointing that our farm system is so average (at best). Sure trading MLers like the Ms did is the quick way to rebuild and restock a farm system. But it can still be down while not fully going to tear down route (SF, Toronto, Twins, Clev, ATL, LAD, etc.). Several years of rebuilding the farm system and what Eppler gave us is just meh. Ultimately, the story of these guys are to be written and how they do the next 5-15 years will determine the quality of the current Angels farm. But just in general, it's a kick in the nuts seeing what we have compared to others and knowing the main plan the past 4-5 years was Eppler to rebuild the farm system. Certainly it wasn't 100% on winning at the big level.

Yep, that is what I said. We were talking about Trout’s BABIP normalizing, so I asked if one should normalize, then why wouldn’t we expect the other to normalize? It is logical.
I wasn’t following your conversation. I just used it to bounce off of the ridiculous Q argument each start that he doesn’t actually suck. I shouldn’t have quote you though. I didn’t mean anything by it honestly.

Ok. So one could be expected to normalize but not the other one.
That 446 foot HR was bad luck too. it’ll normalize as well and be a 330 foot fly out next time.

I mean, ok? This is where I think the obsession with exit velocity takes it too far. The hits still count, regardless of how hard they were hit.
Rod Carew would be hated by the analytical stat nerds of today.

Funny thing is -- technically the runner was outside the proper home-to-1st base lane and was illegally inside the diamond.
Now that he’s gone....
