    Bo Byram was the #4 pick in Z’s draft class and led the team in even strength ice time in a Cup finals round. He got 3.8 for a 2 year bridge. It’s not a perfect 1:1 comparison but it’s the ballpark. Verbeek does appear to be sending him a message that he hasn’t really earned more unless he wants to take a Cozens/Boldie level long term deal but I seriously doubt Verbeek would give Z any trade protection in a long term deal
