    Even Gibson couldn't be Gibson now. Most hitters he'd face in a WS had never stood in against him before and were likely anticipating something up and in if they looked too comfy in the box. Now you can't brush back everyone who dares stand on the plate so it takes more pitches to set up hitters and now even the weakest hitters are stronger than just about anyone in the '60s.

    Over the past few seasons they've allowed Ohtani to keep himself in the lineup pretty much every game while at the same time giving Trout scheduled off days. Maybe it's time to tell Trout they trust him enough to ask for an off day or DH day when he feels like he needs it with a few scheduled exceptions such as they getaway day at the end of a road trip, etc

    Kings are a pretty complete team and I’d expect them to be first or second in the Pacific. The big question is can a top line of Kopitar, Byfield, and Kempe and having Talbot in goal get you deep in the playoffs

    I watched it a couple weeks ago. Any DDay story reminds us how we really just accepted massive casualties to get that foothold in Europe. Whether on the plane waiting to jump or on the boat waiting to hit the beach I can’t imagine what they must’ve carried for the rest of their lives.

    My wife and I went to see Killers of the Flower Moon this weekend. The story is fine and the acting is good. Scorsese manages to keep your attention but my goodness 3 1/2 hours is too long to sit in a theater. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I saw it at home with the pause button and convenient toilet
