Ron Washington hopes fans don't give up on the team
angelsnationtalk replied to jsnpritchett's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
It's the dumbest thing to say but.... Actions speak louder than words. At this point the only one thing will help this team is a full rebuild without Arte. Doesn't matter what GM or Manager comes in. -

I really enjoy what the A's fans have been doing. Kinda wish we had those guts. -
Wish we hired him? Glad we didn't?

Most undisciplined Angels team in years?
angelsnationtalk replied to The Ghost of Bob Starr's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
I disagree. There are only two guys that lack experience and that's Neto and Nolan Schanuel. Everyone else has had plenty of MLB/MiLB experience. I would add O'Hoppe, but he's been playing well. This team has a massive amount of vets like Trout, Drury, Hicks, Sano, Estevez, Moore, Cimber, Garcia, Cisnero, Strickland, Adrianza, Rendon and Anderson. Between the vets and the rest of the team there should be no excuse to being inexperienced. All we are watching is a poorly built team. That's all. -

Sam Blum interviewed Minasian

Very fair points. If this team can stay healthy and play the way they're supposed to then maybe we aren't far off the a WC spot. We were "close" last year. If Trout and Rendon stay healthy then maybe come deadline time they warrant that upgrade. -

This just sounds like a sales rep selling their product no matter how good or bad it is. And rightfully so for Perry. That's his job. But at the end of all this I still feel like this organization is blind. They've got to look at who they are competing against and realize they're a 4'3" person entering a tall person convention. Time will tell with the season but there are MAJOR questions i'm monitoring: Will Trout stay healthy? Will Rendon actually play? Can this be Rendon's last season? Is the rotation strong enough? Can the beefed up bullpen actually support the rotation? The hell happens with Adell? -
I've said this before and I'll say it again. I'm down to add Montgomery and Martinez. Gets us a little deeper on both sides of the game and might make others more tradable. Does is get us into the playoffs? Probably not, but it definitely makes us more competitive without losing picks or handing out a stupid contract. Though Perry needs to figure out how to give us playoff baseball. I'm getting tired of this.

Your point is very true, but from an overall standpoint it's still bad. -

What if it's an insurance move for a trade involving someone like Ward or Adell? They could do some package with them for a pitcher then go after Bellinger.
