  1. Douche bag no..opinionated yes. Maybe some of his opinions rub people the wrong way because they don't agree with him. It's called the pussifying of America. People can't handle the differences in opinions anymore.
  2. Maybe the Angels can get a discount on Bauer if they sign Puig since they have the same agent.
  3. Too many question marks not to acquire two more starters. Ohtani still has to prove he can get people out after his arm troubles. Canning had arm issues. Are they behind him? Can Bundy repeat a year like 2020? Heaney and Bundy are free agents at seasons end. Will either one be re-signed?
  4. Well Arte was quoted awhile back saying he'd go over the luxury tax threshold for the right player. Well maybe now is the time to go over that threshold for 1 year. Time to get back to the playoffs.
  5. Sign Bauer( back loaded contract). Trade for Snell. Sign Archie Bradley. Trade Andrew Heaney for prospect and payroll relief. Sign Curt Casali. Bauer, Snell, Bundy, Canning, Ohtani, Barria would be top notch.
  6. https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/cubs/ct-kyle-schwarber-cubs-notes-spt-0616-20170615-story.html If Ohtani and Upton struggle like last year, I wouldn't mind seeing Schwarber take some ABs away from them.
  7. Joe Maddon and the Angels aren't big on analytics. The Angels haven't been to the playoffs in a long while. Bauer and Mickey Callaway aren't best of friends. Lots of hurdles to get past if he's going to sign with the Angels. It would have to be all about the money.
  8. God I'd hate to tear them apart now... https://podcasts.google.com/?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9yc3MuYXJ0MTkuY29tL21sYi1waXBlbGluZQ&episode=Z2lkOi8vYXJ0MTktZXBpc29kZS1sb2NhdG9yL1YwL1JFOWdqQk1NSVRoZENwVGx3dUZCcXVLYWdaUHJ0Ym1rU1BOeFpZakMxMjQ&hl=en&ved=2ahUKEwi717qw6vfmAhXQPM0KHQZdCUQQjrkEegQICxAE&ep=6&at=1578618026115
  9. Price is damaged goods. If he were younger they might have done TJ surgery...that worries me. https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/red-sox/david-prices-elbow-injury-hurts-short-term-long-term-more-worrisome
  10. MLB Tonight's take... https://www.mlb.com/video/could-angels-land-clevinger?t=most-popular
  11. I think the Angels are at a point where they need to take some chances( injuries..age) on some Pitchers as long as the price is right. The alternative is to trade some of the top ten prospects for pitchers whom are no better than what they have already.
  12. If we're going to start worrying about past injuries then do we also want to worry about Ohtani, Heaney and Canning...or 3/5ths of their current rotation.?
  13. Most money, length of contract for a loaded team. Cole would have been stupid to pass it up. Angels fans where hoping that " he only wanted to play for a west coast team" was true but it wasn't. Keep Adell and Marsh . Take a chance with Walker and or Wood. Either one is capable of pitching as good or better than Boyd if they are healthy.
  14. He declined because he wanted the Tigers to give him a contract extension. I don't think he was adamant about not wanting to give it a try.
  15. Castellanos is a yes to play First base/DH and very little outfield. Yes to trading Adell for the right Pitcher but only if a package of Marsh and other prospects isn't gonna get it done.
  16. So Gerrit...will you be signing with the Angels? Five years?
  17. Eppler has got us in a sad state of mind...ready to pounce on any clue on what pitcher they may be getting.
  18. He gets to play in the stadium that made Vernon Wells look good...bad move.
  19. Think middle of the road people. That is where Eppler lives when acquiring pitchers. No wow factor pitchers coming this year but hoping he proves me wrong.
  20. A fastball that averaged 89.9 mph last year is alarming. Let's hope Callaway can work some magic with him.
  21. Trade for Boyd..sign Alex Wood and Taijuan Walker to 1 yr incentive laden contracts with a clean bill of health. Sign a few veteran relievers to minor league contracts with invite to Spring Training. That would leave them about 15 million under the luxury tax threshold for a catcher or the likes of Nick Castellanos if they want to truly make their batting order elite.
