  1. If he's focused on the money and the Angels offer the most, I could see him coming to Anaheim. Short of that, however, I don't see any reason he'd choose the Angels over the Cards or Cubs.
  2. Choi seems to be Navarro with a better OBP. Neither has any power. Cron is much more valuable than either of them.
  3. They were both minor league free agents, but since nobody signed them they remained the property of their clubs? I don't understand.
  4. Pittsburgh also had talks with the Orioles, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review tweets, but those discussions were ended when they failed to develop any traction. Maybe Eppler can swing a 3-team trade with the Orioles and Pirates since the O's like Santiago?
  5. Sources: #Angels have "very serious" interest in #PiratesNeil Walker. #Dodgers also interested, though maybe to lesser degree.
  6. I'd hate to do it, but they could trade Newcomb and Ellis for CarGo. Oh, wait.
  7. If it's any consolation, it was five years ago today that Carl Crawford spurned the Angels and signed that disastrous contract with the Red Sox, so there's that...
  8. Angels left fielders entering today: .205/.270/.295, 5 HR, 29 RBI, 28 BB, 77 K
  9. Adee Plumbing and Jack Stephan Plumbing were owned by the same family.
  10. Daniel Robertson in six games played before the trade deadline: 9-26 (.346) with 5 runs and 4 RBI.
  11. Yoenis Cespedes for the Mets: 5-17 (.294/.333/.471) with 3 runs, 3 doubles and 4 RBI.
  12. Bring back the woman who's never been on the Internet before trying to video chat with her niece!
  13. Weaver wrapped up his two-start rehab stint with the 66ers with a 1.93 ERA. In all, he pitched 91/3 innings, allowed six hits and two earned runs, walked four and struck out seven.
  14. 7-48 (.145) with 4 runs, 0 extra base hits, 1 RBI and 11 strikeouts.
  15. Thank you for the reminder that Astros fans have been to a World Series three years more recently than the Angels. And yet the baseball world feels good about them enjoying success now. Sigh.
  16. Astros are this year's Royals. Soon we'll hate their fans, too.
  17. Waisting trout's prime years -------- He's 23.

  19. Cowgill is taking batting practice. Should be headed out on rehab some time next week.
  20. Tim Brown ‏@TBrownYahoo 41s41 seconds ago Industry source says Angels close to acquiring Shane Victorino.
  21. Green went 12 picks before Trout in the 2009 draft. LOL, A's.
  22. Incredibly magical season. Enjoyed every game of it, numerous times in person at the stadium. I remember laughing one game at how often he'd already have two hits by the third or fourth inning. Everything he hit fell in.
  23. Aybar is 8/37 (.216) with one BB in the first inning this season, scoring three runs.
  24. Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi 21m21 minutes ago Josh Hamilton out of tonight's lineup -- and possibly tomorrow's -- with tight left hamstring. He felt injury on the walkoff. @FOXSports
