Maybe I'm drunk but how on this forum do I often see posts quoted when the original post is nowhere to be seen in the thread?
And finally HRs:
2020: 1.28
2010: 0.95
2000: 1.17
1990: 0.79
1980: 0.73
Basically over my lifetime of watching this game its something like this:
AVG: down ~30 pts
OBP: roughly similar
SLG: up about 30 pts
Ks: almost doubled.
HR: up by about 50%This I mean.....

It means they've scored the go-ahead run(s) in their offense's last half-inning.
I know what it means but that isn't what it says. It says "final at bat". Wrong.

How can it be in the final at bat? The final at bat is a guy being the third out!

Genuine question as I have no idea - how does his salary hold up between: On the 25 man active roster, at the alternate camp, on the restricted list. I am assuming his agreed contract salary is protected in all three scenarios? If so, how long does it stay so, if on the restricted list?

I think Quintana and Cobb will both be better than expected acquisitions for the Angels, and Ohtani will be better than expected in his return to the mound.
You can read on MLBTR, most non-Angels fans are expecting Quintana and Cobb to suck and Ohtani to be hurt. Much of the baseball world will be shocked when both Quintana and Cobb perform as solid #3/4 starters and Ohtani like an ace.
I know it's just spring training yada yada, but I've been fairly impressed with all aspects so far. Need to rein in my optimism I think!

Baseball Reference has Albert projected to get 475 plate appearances this year.
Please, no! Walsh is ready, willing, and more than able to get the majority of starts at 1B.
By the way, one more GIDP for Albert to hit 400. And his career BA is a solid .299. Looks like he won't make it to .300 after all.
WAR is 100.7. His WAR last year was -0.1. Let him play three more years to see if Trout can catch him.
Hard to see how he gets 475 plate appearances - that would be 90+ starts and 50+ off the bench?

I thought face masks had to be worn in the park? Those four a-holes behind the plate haven’t covered up once, it’s bugging my viewing!!
And then the guy on the end puts his on! Ha!

Only in the last few weeks I discovered how to listen to games on my car radio through my phone. I had a 60 minute drive home last night (the game was at 9.10 pm over here) so was looking forward to the listen. What I actually got was Teheran's dire pitching (again!), successive, quick 1-2-3 Angel innings and a LOT of commercials! Not quite what I'd hoped for. Roll on next spring!

The last six games, Angels starters have gone a combined 37 innings and given up just 6 runs. At the moment, it isn't the starting pitching that sucks...

I have visited 12 x AL Parks and 6 x NL (and walked around outside three others). I haven't visited the US since 2006 though!
Do I win the overseas visitor prize?

Interesting question. I'd say no, no room for emotion.

Well, this thread will change directions now...
Yeah, a few people might want to revisit their comments and think a little before they post in future - these are real people you are criticising!

So..you're supposed to give up trying to win the game just because the opposing pitchers are having a good day?

I thought 3.7% was the chances of us making the playoffs.
Exactly what I thought this thread was going to be about too!

Random question.
'.....buttercup' is currently playing on the radio here in my office. Is this still the 7th innings song at Angels games? Just wondering. Random thought.
