Scott34 got a reaction from Docwaukee in Angels and Marlins match up well for a trade
The Marlins have a ton of young pitching and need offense. The Angels have a ton of position player prospects and need pitching.

I'd love to see Pablo Lopez or Jordan Yamamoto on the Angels. Lopez reminds me of Griffin Canning a little bit, super young but knows how to pitch. I'd definitely consider moving someone like Thaiss for either.

Come to think of it, the Marlins are really building a fine young rotation.
Sandy Alacantara
Caleb Smith
Pablo Lopez
Jordan Yamamoto
Zac Gallen
Trevor Richards
Elieser Hernandez
With their top prospect Sixto Sanchez and the following young arms on the horizon: Jorge Guzman, Nick Neidert, Edward Cabrera, Trevor Rogers, Jordan Holloway and Braxton Garrett.
@Scott34, good thread dude. These guys are loaded with top SP arms that could be cost controlled for the price of some offensive players in return, which is their weakest link in their entire system and org.

In just 3+ years, the guy has completely turned the entire franchise around.
He inherited the worst farm in baseball - it is now likely top 5 with a legitimate Mike Trout lite in Jo Adell. He made some huge moves that changed the face of the MLB team - Simmons, Ohtani, Upton. His dumpster diving skills have returned huge dividends - Goodwin, La Stella, Robles, Smith, etc etc. He brought on a manager who seems to really work well with this club and who isn't afraid of new concepts like the opener, using your best reliever in the 7th or 8th. Eppler's contract is up after this season. They have to re-sign him.

Trent Deveaux 3-5 with 2 2Bs in the first AZL game today. He's still young enough to have a high ceiling.

You guys can't be this dense. It's obvious they are being cautious with him.

This is the most excited I've been about our farm system since Trout. We have some f*cking gems in here.
