  1. It's probably going to be a sloppy series. Neither team can do the little things right and it's still shocking that the Yankees are still over .500 despite doing nothing right this season.
  2. Yankees can't even do the little things right this season, especially playing defense. Very Angels-like. So much for them having a bright future with the Baby Bombers leading the way.
  3. Upton was going to find his form eventually. He's never been a guy who would put up an OPS under .700. But yes, he was hitting really well at the leadoff spot before landing on the IL. Maddon's decision to put Upton in the leadoff spot was a great move. I don't think Upton would have an OPS over .800 right now if he wasn't hitting at the leadoff spot. Hitting in front of someone like Ohtani has benefited him. More good pitches to hit. I think Upton will still be leading off games once he comes back.
  4. MLB banned steroids in 1991. There's no point in enforcing the rule if they don't do anything or little about it. It's funny that people have turned their backs on guys like McGwire, Sosa, and Bonds for steroids even though they knew that they were using it at the time to put fans in the seats( like the Sosa-McGwire home run chase in '98) and still didn't complain about it. Sosa, McGwire, and Bonds were never suspended for steroids but the evidence have been there for a long time just like the situation with Bauer and his cheating stuff,
  5. That was still in a time where the league was juicing the baseballs to benefit offenses around the league and to keep fans in the seats. Juiced baseballs made guys like Hidalgo and Tim Salmon in 2000 look like Trout at the plate. If you look at their slash lines in 2000, i looks better than Trout's in some particular years. And yet, their OPS+ were both under 145 that season. Trout's worst OPS+ since 2012 is 168. Big gap. It's harder to hit in Trout's era than it was from 1993-2009 (hitters inflated offensive period, the juiced baseball period), especially when you have hot and cold zones that wasn't around then and tells pitchers what type of pitches a hitter has trouble with (ex: Trout with the high fastball).
  6. Santiago tried to get away with a crime like the Zodiac Killer. Too bad he failed.
  7. Pujols struck out against Minter. Slash line is now at .209/.277/.465 since he left the Angels. Same old Pujols, Angels fans are still glad that he is gone.
  8. Miggy hit his 492nd career home run in the Major Leagues against All-Star starting pitcher Giolito today, which is the second time that he's gone deep against him this season.
  9. Another questionable move by Maddon taking Ohtani out after less than 80 pitches. Reminds me of Fat Mike. It's no wonder why Cub fans don't miss Maddon.
  10. Sanchez with a Stanton (four strikeouts) tonight. Looking like a flash in the pan at this point.
  11. Time to really start thinking about Walsh being a potential All-Star this season. He's come a long way with the bat.
  12. Are those Bundy's numbers this season? If so, he's still been terrible on the road. But hey, lets blame the so-called hitters ballpark that is Angels Stadium even though it has always been a pitchers ballpark. Marine layer makes Angel Stadium a tough place to hit at night. So now the marine layer is gone and Bundy is struggling? You don't know science well. What's next? It's the Zodiac Killer's fault that Bundy is terrible at home?
  13. Bauer showing that he is cheating is like me proving that I cheated when I took a test for another person in school and handed him that test in front of like a dozen of other people. I'm glad that the Angels gave the cheater the L earlier this season at Angel Stadium. The guy does nothing but beg for attention. I guess when you're a mediocre pitcher without cheating, you're going to do whatever it takes to get attention out of desperation.
  14. Heaney was actually good with the Angels early on. Had a good season in 2015 with an ERA under 3.50. But he just hasn't shown the ability to take that next step since that year.
  15. A hanging slider will usually get hit hard, pitchers ballpark or hitters ballpark, doesn't matter.
  16. Canning struggled tonight. Might be time to blame the so-called hitters ballpark that is Angels Stadium, a ballpark that has always been considered a pitchers ballpark. Good luck trying to argue against the nature of science.
  17. Angels Stadium is a pitchers ballpark. Don't let the numbers fool you. Saying that it is not a pitchers ballpark is going against science. These Angels pitchers just can't pitch for chit.
  18. Red Sox fans think Astros' Framber Valdez got away with illegal substance (fansided.com) No offense to the Red Sox fans but they shouldn't be talking given the Red Sox and their history of cheating (apple watches, for example). And they employed some of the game's biggest starts who were cheaters (PED users) like Ortiz, Manny, Canseco, and Clemens.
  19. Or maybe it's because of the so-called hitters' ballpark (Angel Stadium).
  20. Arozarena, remember him? The guy went Zodiac Killer against everyone in the 2020 postseason. Currently, he has an OPS under .750 in the 2021 regular season.
  21. Astros pitching has thrown over 40 straight fastballs against Devers so far in their series against the Red Sox. Who are they trying to be, Colon?
  22. Harvey now has an ERA of 6.84 for the Orioles this season. His MLB career is dead at this point...unless he joins the Astros.
  23. Looks like Trout lost that Zodiac Killer mentality (killer instinct) at the plate. All good things must come to an end.
  24. Says the "guy" who is still fuming over what another person said like 12 hours ago. You need to get your head check.
