I have seen some topics here about "2016 Strikes Again." On Saturday Morning, July 9th, 2016; I suffered a Massive Pulmonary Embolism. My niece found me on the floor and called the paramedics, and by the time they got me to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, I was close to death. They put me under at the time of my arrival. While I was in ER, I had stopped breathing, and they raced against time to resuscitate me before any brain damage was done. They were successful, but I was in a coma for about 26 hours. I came to the next day in ICU and began a long recovery. I was in Memorial Hospital a good part of July 2016.
  I just want to say, It is great to be alive and I am so glad that I made it to, and experience the Christmas Season 2016. Now I get to experience 2017, and I think about those who didn't get that chance to experience the 2017 New Year (Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds and others). I just want to wish everyone here a Great New Year (2017), and I hope everyone here had a Great Christmas Season like I did.

I moved to Colorado Springs, CO; from Orange County, CA. in August 2010, and since then, I have become a Fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple AAA Baseball). But as far as Hockey goes, The Anaheim Ducks are and always will be my team. They have made reular trips to the play-offs just about every year that I have been in Colorado.

My name is William (Bill) Baxter, I'm 61,  and I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I work as a Civilian Contract Worker out at the U.S. Army Post at Fort Carson (just outside Colorado Springs). I just celebrated my 25th-Silver Anniversary as a Member of Toastmasters International. I am a Fan of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Minor League), and the Denver Broncos. I did live in Orange County, CA; most of my life and so I am also a Fan of the Anaheim Ducks. I saw that there is an NFL Forum and an NHL Forum where one can post about the Anaheim Ducks and the Denver Broncos, so I would definitely like to post here once in awhile.
