Why negotiate, when you can have the government force businesses to leave the state

My guess is this bill is sponsored by unions. What's funny is that they are so worried about theft. Yet if you use Ai as facial recognition to prevent theft, it's racial profiling. Also, the whole reason for self checkout is to cut labor costs since it's so expensive. For some places the labor cost is more expensive than the shrink.
Seems like the issues addressed in the bill would be better worked out between unions and retailers.

At least we can say we saw the game the Angels played well in 2024.

Call me a Debbie Downer if you want to, but it's hard for me to get very excited about Kevin Pillar hitting a three-run HR.
Now are you excited?

May 7: INF Luis Rengifo expected to return during next homestand
Manager Ron Washington said on Tuesday that Rengifo's blisters from the illness he is dealing with are looking much better, but he's still dealing with some irritation in his feet with those symptoms given the friction from moving around."He'll probably be ready to go by the time we get home," Washington said. "He was in a better mood today and his blisters looked better today."
Rengifo was expected to return initially on Monday, but he was scratched from the lineup, and Brandon Drury replaced him at second base. Tuesday's game marks the fourth straight that he has missed due to illness.

Amazing it can go 15 billion miles without running into something.

Mexico Red Devils, who have a short-term contract with Trevor Bauer, who played last season for Yokohama DeNA, announced that they will extend his contract by one month.
Maybe Bauer is still hoping to be picked up by an MLB team so he's going month-to-month in Mexico.

Jerry Seinfeld says the ‘extreme left’ has ruined sitcoms with ‘PC crap’
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jerry-seinfeld-says-extreme-left-090739875.html
“It used to be, you would go home at the end of the day, most people would go, “Oh, ‘Cheers’ is on. Oh, ‘M*A*S*H’ is on. Oh, ‘Mary Tyler Moore’ is on. ‘All in the Family’ is on.” You just expected, there’ll be some funny stuff we can watch on TV tonight,” he told the outlet. “Well, guess what — where is it? This is the result of the extreme left and P.C. crap, and people worrying so much about offending other people.”

I wonder if they can just go ahead and do the 2025 surgery at the same time.
Maybe they're waiting for 2025 to do Trout's surgery so they can kill two birds with one stone.

Did Trout have surgery yet?

It's not as if Trout is killing it in Anaheim but the team around him sucks. He hasn't been good and now he's hurt. Again.
Trout has had a great career. He got the big contract and was the poster boy of MLB for several years. Now he's in the twilight of his career.
If he wanted to win championships he should never have signed the extension with the Angels. Some of us said that at the time.
If Trout wants out of Anaheim I'm sure we would have heard about it by now.

Are we jumping on a fire a Perry bandwagon today?
Blaming him is like being mad at a kid who used his only $5 at the 99-cent store on candy.
The kid can’t get a meal there for that price.
I don’t know if Perry sucks or not.
Actually Minasian looks like that kid.

My dad wasn't a big sports fan so it was rare that he took us to ballgames when we were kids. We didn't go to many games when we were really young. We (my brother and I) had to drag my dad to the games when we got old enough to be fans. Yes, we were Dodgers fans because we grew up in L.A.
I remember going to a Dodgers game, I was maybe 7 years old. This would have been in 1967. My grandparents were in town so my dad got tickets for the guys. My brother was younger so he would have been 6. My dad was probably trying to show off how great a dad he was by taking us all to the ballgame.
We had tickets between home plate and 1st base, under the overhanging seats of the section above us. The overhang made the crowd noise extra loud when there was a base hit by the Dodgers.
The thing I remember most is my grandfather didn't like the noise.
